Am i the only one not exercising

Postby FatFukShrinking » Tue Jun 15, 2010 3:33 pm

Does anyone else NOT exercise? Sometimes i do a bit, but it hardly counts lol.

The main reason i don't bother is because i know i can lose weight without exercising, i've done it before. It's really hard to get that out of my head. I understand that exercise is important for over all health and i should do it... yet i don't.

Is anyone else telling themselves "oh yeah i will start doing some exercise soon"... but you never get around to it? lol. I'm about to drag my exercise bike out from under a pile of crap, not looking forward to it. I feel a bit embarrassed when i read how much exercise everyone else is doing! I guess that's a good thing if it makes me want to get off my butt.

I walk to and from uni each day, and I walk to do my shopping. Usually that adds up to 40 minutes to an hour per day of walking. However I don't really count it as 'exercise' because it's what I've always done and it sure as hell doesn't help me lose weight! I don't do additional exercise at the moment because I'm finishing my PhD and don't have time to scratch myself let alone factor in any additional, dedicated exercise per day. When I finish my thesis I'll reassess my schedule but for now I'm not pushing myself too hard. Weight loss can come later, sanity comes first!

FFS

I think you and I are the same person. Have you ever seen us in the same room together?

Because, I swear, your post could have been written by me. The only exercise I do is a little bit of (mostly incidental) walking. AND I work at a PC in an office all day.

I KNOW THIS IS BAD!!!!!!!

I think when I get the eating under control --- I am getting there -- I will make a conscious effort to exercise.

Want to do it with me?? (although if it turns out WE ARE the same person, we only have to each do it alternate days ;) )

I have lost most of my weight without any exercise. BUT I just joined the YMCA a couple of weeks ago and am going to try to go as much as possible. I am close to my goal weight and my weightloss has slowed down, plus I want to tone up now that I am smaller.

Weightloss is mostly about diet. Exercise helps but it's what we eat that makes the most difference.
