An interesting fact on What's Good For You the other night...Jogging is the best exercise for losing weight due to its intensity. You would need to do double the amount of walking to gain the same amount of fat burn!!...the two areas below that are asterisked mean that for the large fast food burger meal, you would have to do 4 hours of walking as this is equivalent to 2 hours jogging...blimey!!!!
Food / Kilojoules / Extra Exercise Needed
1 large fast food meal (burger, chips & soft drink) = 4500 = *2 hours of jogging*
Can of soft drink = 660 = 1 hour walk
300ml bottle fruit juice = 460 = 40 minutes vacuuming
1 slice thick crust Supreme Pizza = 850 = 30 minutes swimming
Potato or corn chips 50g = 1050 = *30 minutes jogging*
Chocolate bar 60g = 1090 = Over ½ hour on step machine
Large milkshake/smoothie = 1480 = 1 ½ hrs brisk walking
Large muffin = 2300 = 1 ½ hours aerobics
