the trick with hills is you don't try to do it at the same speed as the flat. Just try and keep your breathing at a reasonable level. I used to hate hills with a passion, so much so I chucked a hissy fit at the bloke after he took me on a romantic weekend away and we did a bushwalk which involved a hill. Not a good look. No I don't mind them, although I'm sure having lost 20kg makes it much easier now.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
