Treadmill 40 min, 5.4km. I'm not counting the calories anymore because I feel they are not correct just because I'm not putting the incline up as much! I huff and puff a lot more than the big bad wolf when I am running!

Didn't really do anything today, although I walked a couple of city blocks from the car to the bike shop to buy me some gloves and ear warmers for cycling - it's COLD in the mornings

Get rugged up Tegan. I ride a motorbike all year round and it is getting real cold of late and we have all the real winter months ahead! Have already started wearing the liners inside my lined gloves.

Walking: 40 mins (not sure of kms as pedometer decided to have a break! Lucky for some I say)

Strength Training: 20 mins

The thing with riding is you need layers since when you hit a hill, or even a long flat, you warm up pretty quickly. I'm lately wearing thermal trousers and trackies, t-shitr, jumper and a spray jacket, and lately haven't had to take the jacket off, although I do get quite sweaty (I just can't be bothered stopping and taking the jacket off as by that stage I'm usually nearly at my destination.

The gloves will be a fantatic help thouch as your fingers really do freeze going down hill at 7am when it's probably 6 degrees outside.

I find it hardest on the fingers and toes. Will go to two pairs of socks as it gets colder. The fingers are still the worst though. That chill gets through when you get up to 100kms which is most of my trip. Have to think about getting hand covers just not sure if they have them for my bike. Actually what I would really like is one of those grouse tourers with the heated seats and handle grips....luxury!!
