sass' exercise diary

Postby sassi » Tue Jul 08, 2008 12:35 pm

as part of my positive thinking, 60 day blitz it's time to track my exercise :)

I'll keep a daily total of minutes & then from tomorrow i'll keep a total for the week as well - wednesdays are my weigh in day (fortnightly) & so the 'start' of my week!

8/7
30 minute PT session (3 x 500m row, various weights)
25 minute walk

total mins: 55

thanks strawberry :)

i'm thinking of splitting it into exercise & incidental exercise...i walk for about 45-50 minutes all up each day to & from the station but that's split into 4 parts...i spoke to my pt & he said it's awesome for my heart but not so impt to my fitness.

definitely still helps - it's really good for your general health (from my limited knowledge!). but to really push your fitness, not as good. i'm trying to work on my fitness & strength so i need to do stuff that raises my heartbeat lots. hope that makes sense!

the reason i am wanting to be stronger is that i feel like i'm reasonably strong already & i'd like to build on that & see it as an area where i will be able to see improvement :)

thanks...i'm really happy that i do a fair bit of walking each day, but i have also found myself getting a bit lazy & using the walking as an excuse not to need to do anything extra & for what i want to achieve, that's not going to cut it!

does make sense.
i read somewhere about burning more fat if u stay in the fat burning zone = 2 oxygen getting through 2 fat cells

u will c improvements & strong bodies look great! i did 20 min of pilates today, 1 section had 2 use hand weights. I was really sore after a few secs, i was only using 1kg weights. i ordered a book: 8 weeks 2 a toned body. going 2 try it out & c how i go - i'll add it 2 my 60 day challenge.

i c the walking as the base & anything extra is a bonus - if u don't officially exercise u've still done so.
