Crikey but I have been a bit of a slacker this week. Had two days off in a row...who would have thought it.

50 mins Tae Bo Extreme with 5 extra mins stretching.

The stretching times are in a word...crapful! LOL

Mind you I don't think they stretch out enough sometimes in the classes at the gym and used to spend another 15 mins afterwards going over the whole body. Or maybe it's just me and I like to stretch!

I have still managed 4 sessions of cardio this week so that's no so bad I guess but haven't done a 'real' weight session in close to 3 weeks. The Tae Bo Extreme inlcudes 15 mins of weights using a light weight but fast and he tells you to flex the muscle the whole time so even though the weight is light I am resisting the whole time if you know what I mean. Still this shouldn't be used to replace my weights program. Works been a bit mad lately and am finding I'm fairly tired when I get home so I am finding this an excellent excuse not to workout once home from work as I usually do and that means the weights suffer. Still going good on the rower, really enjoying it and my technique is a lot better. LOL I am ridiculously focused when on this machine!

They are a bit pathetic aren't they!! The thing is, most people doing the DVD's don't know that they need to stretch for longer than the 2 minutes on the DVD!!!

It's good that you do extra stretching afterwards!

Weights do tend to suffer at busy times, don't they!! Cardio somehow seems easier to squeeze in when weights don't take long at all to do!? Very odd!

LOL 2 mins stretching no thanks. I stretch longer than that even if I've just done a good walk! I always found I went to the stretching area in the gym even after Body Jam or the Pump class. It was funny though after the Body Jam class I used to end up stretching next to another member of the class who I am sure is a ballet dancer and she would be doing extremely flexible stretches with legs up around her head and stuff and I was like oh well.... my stumpies weren't made for that sort of bending. :D

Hahaha don't worry Kim, I don't bend too far either :P :P I'd love to be flexible, but I'm just not!!
At least you try and you're getting a decent stretch out of your muscle!

I am definitely more flexible than I once was but not as much as when I was under 20. :? Also it improves if I stretch regularly. I have a DVD with two 30 mins sessions of just stretching. One session is yoga based and the other is more for sports to keep you flexible. Crikey some of the ladies on the yoga based one...well it's just not fair!

Sounds good Kim!! I really need to do more stretching but it's just fitting it all in, isn't it!!
That's really the only reason I like yoga - it's a good stretch :P
