Hey Kim, maybe the slow build up of the C25 program really suits you and that's why your calf isn't giving you grief. And I'm sure all that stretching is helping you. Anyway, it's good to read about your progress :)

That would be great Jody, join in the fun.

Thanks Sandra it does seem to be working or at least so far so good and I think you are right about the stretching it really seems to be working for me. Will be interesting when the length of jogging increases.

Week 2 - Day 2
90 sec jog/2 mins walk for 20 min

Completed. Still going good, will be interesting what next week brings. I set up my training music last week so I have forgotten what I have programmed. LOL it's like a surprise at the beginning of each week to see what music I have in store.

Week 2 - Day 3
90 sec jog/2 mins walk for 20 min

Today went well. Need to look at a new running track, this one is a little boring and I found myself thinking about how tired I was. I took it offroad so to speak and had to really watch where I put my feet and it was enjoyable the 90 secs flew by. Anyways Week 3 starts for me Monday.

Hehe I have walked into plenty of poles before but never run into one so you never know. I will be careful but not too keen on hills yet, we will see. I am being a sissy :D

Week 3 Day 1
90 sec Jog, 90 sec Walk, 3 min Jog, 3 min Walk x 2

Completed. Thought I felt a twinge in the old calf muscle at the first 3 min jog but nothing came of it and I felt great. Thought about doing the whole circuit all over again but decided not to push my luck.

:D

Well done Kim. Don't be tempted to skip ahead - you want to keep that calf injury under control and doing too much too soon, even though I'm sure you're more than able to do so, might just lead to injury and disappointment.

Jody has started the same program, too :)

Week 3 Day 2
90 sec jog, 90 sec walk, 3 min jog, 3 min walk x2

Completed. Felt great and after I walked up a massive hill that had me completely out of breath, that really worked my hamstrings and bottom.

:D

You're doing so great Kim - and so consistent, too.

I have recently discovered that I love to run uphill  Am I insane? :P It feels so much better than downhill which kills my knees and I feel so jiggly and out of control.
