LOL Sandra and I thought I was the only mad one!

Actually after getting to the top of that hill I figured a good goal would be to get to the top and not be out of breath. Briefly thought of running up it in the future but was quickly dismissed....but you never know. :D

Week 3 Day 3
90 sec jog, 90 sec walk, 3 min jog, 3 min walk x 2

Completed. Yep, I am really enjoying it so far. Muscles feeling good and keeping up great. I love the progression of this program as I feel it really moves you through the different levels slowly enough to improve your fitness for the next progression. Week 4 begins Monday. :D

I set songs on my ipod that match the times allotted. So today I had

1 song of 3 mins
1 song of 1.5 mins
1 song of 5 mins etc

I keep all my music on my comp so I simply ordered iTunes by Time and then chose whichever songs I liked that fitted the times required by putting them into a new Playlist. That way after my warm up and stretch I just jog one song, walk one song and so on. I knew I would have problems clock watching so this was easier. Hope that makes sense.

Hey Kim, I enjoy hearing about your progress. Glad to hear you're feeling strong... 5 minutes doesn't pass quickly when you're not... and that's a great idea about the songs on your iPod.

Kim, you are doing so well. Can't wait to hear how you go next week. It may seem daunting now, but I'm sure you'll be able to get through it all OK. Just keep up your stretching to make sure your calf muscles hold out OK.

Hehe thanks I will see how I go. If everything manages to hold up and I get through the whole 30 mins by week 9 then I will look into doing some kind of fun run around December maybe....dunno but something to aim for.

I believe the stretching is truly the reason why I am getting through this with no calf problems.

I agree about the stretching, I spent a good 10 mins stretching after my run yesterday and have woken up today with no stiffness or soreness at all for the first time
