Woke up 10 min before alarm, waited for radio to start, listened to the news/weather - -4C outside. I still got up, dressed in my winter bike gear (look at that frost! Look at that fog!) - balaclava, woolen socks and gloves, bike shorts plus trackpants, workgear jacket over bike shirt.

The fog was thick - my saddle was frozen when we got to the starting point. 10 min into the ride I noticed the frost on my arms. I was chipping ice off the gears, and my shins and shoes were white! The ride was good until hubby got another flat tyre 10 minutes from our destination. Then he stole my bike to get to work, and I used the phone a friend option ........

At least I did 18k, and had coffee with a mate!

Its not too bad once you get started - particularly when you sail past cars in a traffic jam. We used to commute every day on the bikes (unless it was really windy).

-4  I was wearing a t-shirt on my walk today. Other people out and about were wearing t-shirts too.

Walking (1 hour)
Pilates (20mins)
+ some bum exercises for good measure (literally)

KimE, if you don't mind my asking - you've lost an incredible amount of weight, how hard did you have to work out to get there? and is it all weight training? I think 50mins of weight training would kill me - my arms would fall off for a start (their my weakest body part).

I started off slowly just walking for 2-3 days a week and slowly increased this till I was doing it 5 days a week. I then slowly started adding resistance training like push ups, sit ups, squats that sort of thing. After a couple of months I wanted more so I joined the gym and it kind of took off from there. Now it is a habit and I exercise most days even if it is just a 30 min brisk walk. Love to get my bod moving.

Well it obviously shows with the weight loss you've achieved. Good on ya! I'd live in a bikini 365days of the year if I'd transformed my body like that...you're an inspiration to women everywhere.
