I dont like swimming at the beach for that reason!!! The kids don't get to go very often because I am scared about the sharks. Much prefer the pool or the dam. We go fishing in exmouth nearly every year and a few years ago we were at this boat ramp called tantabiddi(not sure how it is spelt) and it is like a large pool as it has a coral reef around it. So we were fishing in the boat within this and there were about 6 sharks underneath us trying to eat the fish we were catching. Actually they were eating the fish we were catching. My daughter was only about 4 at the time and of course she wanted to see so she was trying to hang over the boat and I had to hang on very tight or she would have gone in!!! That scared me immensly! I've never been back to that boat ramp!

Statistically, you should be more scared of being stung by a bee and finding out in a very bad way that you are allergic, or dying in a car crash on the way to the beach.
However being in the situation that you are sitting above a bunch of feeding sharks, I wouldn't be about to let a bite sized child near the water either!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).

1 mile dvd (20mins)
2 mile dvd (30 mins)
