Bacon sandwich

Postby JP1 » Mon Dec 17, 2007 10:25 pm

Mrs JP made the kids bacon sarnies this morning as a special treat it being the first holi'day' of their school break... and the aroma it left has made me crave one REAL bad.

So I now have decided what mt reward is going to be when I get down to my goal weight in April... after seven consecutive days of being under 75 Kilos (or whatever other weight I decide on... if for whatever reason I change my GW)... then my reward will be a bacon sandwich... untrimmed... nice and crispy... with plenty of HP sauce... sorted!

Lol, I banned bacon and egg rolls from our office in the morning. We have a cafe near work that makes the best bacon egg rolls, and the smell permeates the whole place for an hour or so afterwards.

If I don't ban them someone will slip and injure themselves on the drool being left on the tiles, so i am only doing my bit for occupational health and safety.

Hey John, you can make a low-cal Bacon sandwich easy! 97% Fat Free Bacon is everywhere now. There are a few brands - Hans, Don, Weight Watchers. You can have your HP sauce too, just measure it out!

yeah I know but would still be loads of fat I reckon... anyway nope! not until I'm goal weight... hows that for willpower?

and I have HP sauce most days... its fairly fat free and backs blander food taste good... eat low cal thousand island dressing on salads and sweet chilli sauce that doesn't have any fat also... not so much worried about the calorie count as I've got a big deficit with my dietry intake and exercise regime anyway but thanks for the advice anyway1 :)

No worries :D It will be a great reward for you :D
I like to dress things up with sauce, too! I've got this delicious Lemon, Garlic & Feta dressing which I love. Also love Sweet Chilli, BBQ, Tomato. I don't think I've actually tasted HP, which is surprising seeing as I lived in the UK for a bit! What kind of flavour is it?

guess its an acquired taste but I love it... my kids call it daddies sauce they love ketchup which l only really have (or had  ) with hot chips. Yup love my sauces.. and love HP... it kinda tangey... not so much hot... bit like barbecue sauce but very distictive taste... like Worcestershire sauce too though that is liquidy (similar to soy) whereas HP is thick like tomato sauce.
