The funny thing is I haven't actually deprived myself of anything really. Portion size has made a huge difference to me, as well as eating regular meals at regular times. There is not one thing I used to regularly eat I have stopped except the 3am kebabs after a night on the turps.

I never did the 3am kebab or McDonalds stop....I used to eat vegemite on toast when I got home!

I remember being in Sydney with a friend of mine and after a big night we ate a whole loaf between us!! :shock: :oops: :mrgreen:

when I used to live in the city we walked past the kebab shop to get home..and usually if it wasn't kebabs, it was KFC... :oops:

LMAO, it isnt a case of eating what I want, it is just about watching the quantity I consume and eating 3 main meals and snacking 3 times a day. As opposed to having a massive lunch, nothing again until pies, kebabs, pizza or takeaway in the wee small hours of the morning, again a massive serve. I never ate any of the bad things everyone else misses like chocolates, sweets, cakes etc, so don't miss them.

The funny thing is my PT says I am still not eating enough!! Go figure. Today so far I have eaten 3 weetbix with skim milk, 2 yoplait no fat yogurts, a large tuna and salad, a couple of handfulls of cashew nuts, 4 vita weets with vegemite, a huge t-bone steak and steamed veges and will have some bickies with extra light philly in an hour or so.

Keep in mind, as i told JP in another thread, my PT is wanting me to put on a couple of kilos of muscle before I go overseas so I will come back at essentially the same stage I am at now after 4 weeks off. I am eating more than I was two weeks ago, but am also doing between 1 and 3 hours hard exercise a day. So far this week I don't think I have lost any weight at all, even though I have had to add another hole to my belt again this morning, so it seems to be working to what he wants.

bear, your l saw that and realise your weight program is a lot different to mine, how tall are you mate? if ya dont mind me asking? :)

188 cms and although I have set a goal weight for myself of 95-100kgs, my PT is trying to convince me that for my frame with muscle 105-108kgs is the best goal.

Yeah l could tell you were a big boy from your piccie... thats about 6'2" isnt it? I'm 176cm or a tad below... just under 5'10" or thereabouts...

One of the reasons l've decide to go to the gym is to get a bit of advice on all that stuff... at my time of life (hehe l'm not a pensioner yet :wink: ) but l really don't wanna be getting into all this training lark... but by the same token l'm not really small framed either and quite like the size l am approaching so will see what the 'experts' have to say in conjunction with what l want l suppose... was pretty athletic in my teens and even my early/late twenties was fairly fit and always been mentally fit... meaning l could push myself even when physically not at my peak... anyway all will become apparent soon l guess and even so l'm pretty determined that 75 Kgs will be a good weight for me... I was last that during my basic Army training as a twenty one yo.

Where on the Coast are you?

The guy I see will be working out of Southport Central when it opens up, until then we are using Beachouse at the Sharks club. I am pretty happy with him, although all the trainers at the gym are pretty good.

are you on the coast mate? I'm down in Burleigh other side of town..
