Pâté and soft cheeses...

Postby KimE » Fri Apr 21, 2006 7:22 pm

One of my favourite all time foods is this delicious pâté I make myself. Fortunately, two things stop me from having it very often...usually I only make it at Christmas. Firstly, I know what goes into it so I know exactly how fattening. Secondly it's a bit of a pain to make so that becomes easier to resist.

Soft cheeses...mmm the wonderful triple cream brie...yes I said triple. Timboon organic camembert....don't try this at home folks it can be dangerous! That's the time I return to my photo (I have a special one that is pretty horrid) and tell myself cheese + mouth = this photo!

Hi Kim we also have the liverwause (liver pate) and soft chesses for easter and christmas, they are so yummy on brown bread.
I love brie and havarti, luckily our easter stok is getting used up.

Hi Dolly, yes very delicious. I had a little bit of the brie over easter and there is still 1/2 a piece of it in the fridge. Will have to be eaten by someone else. Perhaps when I have my habits more under control it is something I can have a small amount of once in a while. But I'm not at that point yet, need the structure.
