Potato Chips

Postby Kylie » Tue Nov 14, 2006 7:02 am

Potato Chips are my weakness. These things are evil!! Ev-il I tells ya! Once I start on a bag of these, I can't stop!! I used to eat a large bag on a daily basis before bed (so silly!) so no wonder I reaced 105kg! I love how they crunch! I love their flavours -BBQ, Salt n' Vinegar, chicken, crinkle cut, twisties, cheezles, Mmm, they're all yummo!
I am trying to cut back on these. In fact, I don't want to eat ANY chippies in the month of November!!!

Its going to be hard, but I CAN DO IT!

... right? :?

Hey Kylie I hope you reach your goal of no chippies in November!! If you were to have 1 small packet (the 20 pack kind) they can still fit into a healthy eating plan!! Just something to think about....

When I was younger (this must have been about 1987ish...) my friends called me the Gobbledoc (anyone remember the gobbledoc that ate the smiths chippiees?? ) because I just could not stop eating chips. I'd get through one giant bag after another

I think I stopped eating them after I finished high school and now I can hardly eat any because they are too greasy :o

Rice crackers would be a great low fat alternative. And how many different flavours are there! I am a bit of a wierdo and I enjoy eating the Aussie Bodies Protein Crisps - yum! They're in the supermarket amongst the protein bars and that... usually on the bottom shelf, in a corner... might need to get down on hands and knees to reach them

LOL Jewles this is the worst part of the forum you are right.

Gobbledoc...LOL...that creepy little thing. If something like that tried to get in my bedroom to steal my chippies it would get a smack on the head!

have you tried apero's Kylie?

they are made by sakata and come in a few different flavours.

per serve (45g) (2 serves per box)
760kj (181 cal)
.5 sat fat

they are a good substitute for chippies!!

Those apero are great. Tho I havent bought any for a couple of months. I was finding that I would come home from work and hop into them and eat half the box. But much better for you than chips thats for sure. I think they taste better than chips too. I love the sweet chilli ones.

Talking of the gobbledoc. I'm glad I'm not the only one who teased someone and called them a gobbledoc. There was this really short girl at school and she had the same body shape as the gobbledoc. So we used to tease her and call her that. It was so mean. I look back at some of the things we used to do at school and think geez we were such mean tarts!!!
