Chocolate Caramel Slice mmmmmm

Postby bundy-mum » Wed May 02, 2007 9:32 pm

Okay, it's only day 2 and already cravings have kicked in  . I gave in and bought a packet of slice BUT I waited until the kids came home and instead of eating 2 full ones myself, I shared and only ate 1/4 of one. I sat and ate s l o w l y and savoured every bite and was happy with that. I shouldn't have given in but a 1/4 is better than 2, or not giving in at all and binging later in the week. I don't know if I am suppose to be but I am proud of myself for holding back. Maybe in a few of weeks, I'll be strong enough to hold off entirely. :D

I made up a recipe for a lower kJ chocolate caramel slice if you're interested :) It's not nearly as thick as the ones you buy but it tastes exactly the same!! It's about 450kJ per slice, and it's not too bad a size!

that sounds good em....please post it!!

Hey bundy mum....you will find that 1/4 piece can still fit comfortably into a healthy eating program...moderation is the key....a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to be boring and restrictive!! You did really well to stop at a 1/4 of a piece...well done!! (on average it would have been around 100 Calories and 6 grams of fat for a quarter of a slice!!)
