Whether you have a hankering for a salty snack, such as potato chips, or a sugary one, such as biscuits or gummy bears, once again your hormones are responsible. In the last two weeks of your cycle, progesterone spikes, acting as a diuretic and causing you to secrete -- and thus crave -- more sodium. And since serotonin (the feel-good hormone) also drops during this time, you may also instinctively eat carbs -- often in the form of biscuits or lollies -- in an effort to boost your mood. To help head off cravings for sugary, high-fat carbohydrates, increase your intake of whole grains, fruits and vegetables and eat smaller, more frequent meals -- this keeps blood sugar on an even keel, and doing so wards off bingeing.
or
If you are really strong and fight the binge attack you will be pleasantly surprised by a big weight loss.
or
take one biscuit and savour it with a couple of hot cuppas. With this last method it may be hard to just stop at one biscuit.

Thanks Dolly. I think I'll take the "be strong" path. Once again, this forum saves the day. No bikkies for me. 8)

But tomorrow I will try and up the small but regular meals and make it a greater percentage of the whole-grains and fruit.

Rather than have a bikkie, I went and had a shower, used some of the mango bath and shower gell that i got ages and ages ago and never treat myself to, pulled out some sexy lingere from the back of the drawer and made myself all nice for when the bloke gets home from a friend's. :D
