Jessica's weekly weigh in- Monday mornings...

Postby jessica-rae » Mon Dec 31, 2007 8:33 am

Hi girls,

I may as well have my own thread. If I'm going to do this, I may as well do it properly!

SW: 132.4
CW: 129.4
LOSS: 3kgs

YAY!

I'm so glad I have lost 3 kgs in my first week. Actually 5 days! To go under the 130kg mark is a huge relief. I'm looking forward to getting under the 120kg mark... hopefully that won't be too long.

I'm having an NYE party tonight so I'm not going to eat well. May as well admit it. However, I'll fit in a couple of extra exercise session towork at burning it off.

Happy new year everyone! New year, new you!

Oh my god Jessica, well done! 3kgs is amazing! It looks like your lush goodies are not very far away at all :D I hope you have another mini goal treat in mind as you'll need to come up with that very quickly!

Have fun tonight, even though you'll be eating more, the extra exercise you're going to do will really help.

I'm so proud of you, that is such a great effort! I can't wait to see what next Monday brings for you :D

Thanks Fiona!

You're like my motivational coach!

Now I'm thinking- I better work really hard and have similar results next week so I don't disappoint Fiona. Which is a really good thing!

I figure I just aim for my mini-goal each time. Completely forget about the big goal. Then I only have to achieve 11 mini-goals in 15 months and I have achieved my big goal!

Yay!

Thanks so much!

Well done on the loss! Remember that you usually lose a bigger amount in the first week -so don't be disappointed if you don't lose 3kg next week! But if you keep up the exercise and being healthy, you will continue to lose weight and 0.5-1kg per week is a pretty good aim.

You can do it! HAve a great time at the party tonight, but then get right back on the wagon tomorrow!

Yes, I will be your motivational coach

But like Mandie said, it is normal to have quite a big loss such as 3kgs in the first week, but after that it might be around 1kg which is still fantastic!

I think for a while if you aim for 1kg a week, that is very attainable.

Okay, weekly weigh in:

LW: 129.4
CW: 128.8
LOSS: 0.6kgs

Okay, obviously not a very good week; however, I thought I had actually put on this week so to have actually lost is awesome!

I have had a pretty bad week with stress and illness, and it kinda killed my motivation to be bothered exercising or eating well. So to have actually lost is still a bonus.

I am aiming to complete my mini-goal by next weigh-in and I know I can do it. I have a renewed enthusiasm found over the weekend. Why? I found my wedding dress! And I'm going to have to look gooooood in order to look hot in it so i've got to push those scales down.

Plus, I've decided to have a breast reduction and I need to lose around 30kgs by June/July in order to have it done.

So, I've bought a pedometre, said no to KFC (temptation by my fiance) and am watching everything I eat.

Mini-goal here I come!!!

Ohhh.. and wedding dress:

that's still a good week - you're within the .5-1kg so it's perfect! :)

love the dress - especially the back. i'm sure you'll look gorgeous in it :) i can imagine it must be very motivating! i'm motivated by the thought of having to buy a dress to wear as a guest at a wedding so to be the bride must be like being on a mission!

Well, I've fallen off the bandwagon.

So much so, I didn't even weigh myself last week.

With big problems at work and so much stress, I just haven't cared. I need to resolve to always weigh myself no matter what and come and report to you girls to give me a kick up the butt when i need it.

SW: 132.4
Two weeks ago: 128.8
CW: 129.8
GAIN: 1kg...

My fiance and I have decided to do "gym times" where we both go off to the gym. He needs to lose weight to and I need motivation! Actually, we both do.
And I’m aiming to do my mini-goal within 2 weeks.
I need to get serious and stop putting this off!

Don't worry about the gain, it was a slip up and everyone slips up 8) The important thing is whether you keep going or throw it all away and it sounds like you're going to keep going so good on you~! A gym buddy is a great thing to have for many reasons biggest probably being motivation. (mine is fear of looking stupid by myself but I never worry when I'm not alone... )

Thanks Hysterical_Oliver.

My puppy also needs walking so I'm going to aim to take him walking with my fiance 4 or 5 times a week.

I just hope I see the scales on less next week!

Heya Jess - I was thinking of you the other day wondering where you had gotten to!

Don't beat yourself up about the slip up - it happens to all of us every now and again. I'm sure with a really strict week of diet and exercise those scales will be heading south by next weigh in :D

Not overly thrilled, but I knew it wasn't going to be much as I hurt my back at work so I didn't exercise as much as I would have liked.

But, hey, as long as I am losing weight (no matter how much), I am happy with that!

Still aiming for my first mini-goal.

Congrats on the 600 gram loss this week Jessica!

How is your back now? If it is better and you work really hard, you can easily be spending that $50 at lush in the next week or 2!
