Well can hardly blame you when something like that happens... its so traumatic I'd think eating is the last thing you want to be thinking about.
Anyway you have started now and got off to a flyer by the looks of things... just keep at it... I don't know what diet you have decided for yourself but stick to it... also have you started an exercise program or thought about it? because I've found that to be very important.
Theres no doubt going to be times in the first couple of months when you are going to be frustrated and may even stray but all l can suggest is that you come on here regularly for even more inspiration and just realise that it is a life style change you are making... personally l'm convinced most diets don't work because all the dieter seems to want is to lose weight and return to their former life style... until they can kick that idea and realise it is that which needs to change forever then it may end up being a vicious circle... and thats not to say you cant treat yourself and introduce treats... it's all about moderation too.
As I said before if you need advice or want to know anything shout out... I haven't got all the answers but have found what works for me and theres also plenty of other good people on here that are very knowledgable... good luck..
