Well can hardly blame you when something like that happens... its so traumatic I'd think eating is the last thing you want to be thinking about.

Anyway you have started now and got off to a flyer by the looks of things... just keep at it... I don't know what diet you have decided for yourself but stick to it... also have you started an exercise program or thought about it? because I've found that to be very important.

Theres no doubt going to be times in the first couple of months when you are going to be frustrated and may even stray but all l can suggest is that you come on here regularly for even more inspiration and just realise that it is a life style change you are making... personally l'm convinced most diets don't work because all the dieter seems to want is to lose weight and return to their former life style... until they can kick that idea and realise it is that which needs to change forever then it may end up being a vicious circle... and thats not to say you cant treat yourself and introduce treats... it's all about moderation too.

As I said before if you need advice or want to know anything shout out... I haven't got all the answers but have found what works for me and theres also plenty of other good people on here that are very knowledgable... good luck.. 8)

Hi mate.. I don't know much about shakes and stuff but the rest sounds real good to me... maybe add some fish in there if you like it, I particularly like salmon and love it baked (I never use to like fish years ago) and like smoked salmon for lunch too.. diet yogurts and fruit are good as snacks...

Lucky you having a treadmill... sounds good at the moment but try to up it a bit over time 9gradually as you feel you can do more) and eventually jog but listen mate do that well down the track... I tried to jog a bit at around 98 Kilos and it killed me but now I'm up to 3/5 kilometers a day... just takes time... you'll get there...

Exercise is the key and try to do a variety... maybe go to Kmart or wherever and get one of those hand dumbell weights too and jut raise them while you are watching tv... its amazing the muscle you can build over time..

I might be the wrong person to advise about gyms... I've just started one recently myself but I'm doing it basically because l'm wanting to hit my goal and its getting a bit harder to lose weight unless l cut my food intake which l'm adamant l don't want to do. I've got to a stage where l'm 100% happy with my intakes and variety of foods l have and have introduced some treats back in as well so l want to help lose the rest by upping my exercise and getting a bit fitter too...

Yeah l'm talking of those hand held weights... while your watching tv just use them... also try to do a few sit ups and push ups... again its variety and its surprising how much stronger you become over time...

One thing to remember with this weight loss is that there are many ways of doing it and you've just got to find a regime that you enjoy whether that be what you are eating or what exercise you are doing, otherwise it's not going to work for you in the longer term... again it's got to be a lifestyle change for it to truely work and you can't live an unhappy lifestyle can you? ortherwise you'd change it... no doubt you'll learn over time what is best for you and what works... staying motivated is a challenge too and this place is great for helping to stay on track..
