turtle7682's progress

Postby turtle7682 » Sun Oct 19, 2008 10:19 pm

Hello all, my name is turtle and I am trying to lose weight so that we can have a baby. I've been diagnosed with PCOS, and since March 08 have lost 30kg (as at Oct 08).

I want to start weighing in here each week to keep me motivated because after all my great work I just had the shittiest eating weekend!!!

Ok, that's all for now, I look forward to meeting you all.

:D Turtle

hi turtle! welcome :D 30kgs is absolutely amazing! congratulations on your loss, and good luck with your plan! you obviously know what to do and have the strength to do it, i reckon picking yourself up after a binge spree is one of the most important skills. i am yet to learn it...

welcome again

Thanks Pandora and Shalimar :D

I've been on Tony Ferguson, and it really is working for me. I've stuck it out 33 weeks now for my loss of 30kg (and that's including time I've taken off to go on holidays to see family, so I really proved to myself that Tony Ferguson can help teach me how to eat healthily even when I'm not 100% on program).

I have to admit Shalimar that reading a few of your posts and seeing how much weight you have lost really inspired me to join this forum - I started at 165kg, and am currently at 135, but you're proof that this can be done, and I am determined to continue.

I really look forward to getting to know you both better, and thanks again for the warm welcome!

 Turtle

Hey all, just me popping in for an update. I've had a great week eating wise and drinking water wise (although I haven't had my lunch yet and I've only had 1.25L of water today... lol but I am working on my second 1.25L bottle at the moment, and I've eaten my two pieces of fruit today, and had my breakfast shake, so I still have time to catch up with everything today.
I'm feeling good this week, and I am definitely expecting a loss tomorrow when I go for weigh in. I weigh in every Saturday at a terry white pharmacy (I'm doing Tony Ferg).
I'll let you all know tomorrow how I go!!!!

Well I did a bit of a crap thing tonight... after sticking to plan all week, tonight (the night before weigh in!!!) I go hay wire!! Hubby came back from school camp tonight (he's a teacher) and I was cooking him a yummy dinner (he actually wanted take away and I avoided that like the plague), and I decided to be good and make some scrambled eggs for myself. To make it fit in with my allowed foods for tony ferg I was going to have: one egg, one egg white, 60g light ham, a squash grated, some mushy's and some olives.

Instead I made: 3 eggs, 100g ham, a squash grated, 1/2 teaspoon of whole seed mustard and a good squirt of bbq sauce!!

It would have been fine if I didn't blow out the protein soooo much and eat the mustard and sauce!!! I really don't know if this will stuff me up for weigh in tomorrow or not, but I am not going to freak out, it's already down the hatch now, so there is no use stressing over it. I just have to accept the consequences and move on. I know it was an issue also because I skipped my lunch shake which I rarely do, so I was a bit more hungry tonight. Silly me!!

I am happy to note that I drank at least 2.5L of water every day this week... :D

Oh well, we'll see how I go in the morning... night all!!

Put tonight out of your mind, and start again tomorrow!

Thanks so much for your message Meegs :-) Turns out I did ok last week after all because yesterday when I went to weigh in I had lost 3.1kg!!!!!!!! I was SO HAPPPPPYYYYYYY!! :D
Threw hubby a surprise birthday party last night (his birthday is this tuesday), so we ate nibblies and had a bbq, and we'll be snacking today, but then I'll be over it and be back on task for the week. I allow myself to snack on the weekend (within reason), and it seems to work for me (I'm into week 35, so I am definitely comfortable with my routine now).
Good luck to everyone else this week :-)

Hey, congrats on the loss, well done. Keep up the good work. Don't worry abut the bad days you have had. We all have days when we eat things we know we shouldn't or eat too much. The important thing is not to be too hard on yourself, pick yourself up, brush yourself off and just keep going. Best of luck for next week. :)
