My first weigh-in

I weight 276.
I started cutting calories on April 29 and from then until last sunday I had lost 12 pounds. Last Sunday I cut more calories (down to 600 a day) and have lost 18 pounds! I feel wonderful! I have knocked my calories up to 850-900 now!

whew who! 18 pounds in 10 days!!
A little bit is okay, right?

That's a very big loss in quite a short time (8kg in 10days). Please be very careful with how fast you go about losing weight as it can be just as problematic as staying overweight. it can also make stopping the loss difficult as your body may overreact and put it all back on again plus more. I'm aiming for a loss of approximatly 1kg per week (2.2pounds per week), which I believe is a healthy rate of loss. But good on you for your achievement, it must feel very liberating!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
