This is my first weekly weigh in, and my goal is to lose 20kg.

First goal - get the bmi under 30!

Thanks Carly,
Nice to have the support of someone who has already come so far!
Seeing peoples weight loss tracker saying "26kg lost. 4kg to go" is part of my inspiration. I want to have a tracker that will impress and inspire new members in a few months.

The diet is going fairly well so far, could have had smaller portion sizes (I don't have to clean up the plate just because it's there!) but haven't been snacking.

This morning my weight was down to 103.5kg, meaning I've lost 1.5kg over the last 6 days.

A few things made this week a bit difficult because I had three tempting days in a row. Pub trivia , a friend's birthday drinks and then a dinner party at my place. I was put on antibiotics this week, so I couldn't drink making those days less damaging to my diet. My social life isn't usually so busy, so this upcoming week is going to be easier.

It's good to have a few runs on the board and by this time next week my bmi will be under 30, making me overweight rather than obese.

I had a stressful week last week and didn't follow my diet. If the occasional stressful week blew me off course then that would be an acceptable excuse. However, the majority of my weight problem is caused by emotional eating so this is the central challenge for me controlling my weight.

I joined this forum for accountability. I would like to post that I'd lost a lot of weight and get congratulated. However, this is not the case this week. Feel free to be a bit hard on me!

My weight stayed fixed at 103.5kg, I was lucky not to gain weight.

everyone has their off weeks..and you have only just started. It is going to be tough to keep old habits behind u.. but as u progress you will get better at managing those cravings. Try not to beat yourself up too much.. Take this as a learning curve, might help you to control the old habits if you have another stressful week. I have read that alot of people on here do still have the occasional treat which has helped them stay on track because the cravings for junk food aren't as bad if you have an occasional treat. Most of us in the past attempts at diets deprive ourselves of all treats and alot feel that is why they fall off the wagon and go back to bad habits.. and i totally agree with everyone who has said that. My diets in the past never lasted over 2 weeks.. im now on my 7th weeks and i dont feel the urge to pig out and eat all the junk food like i used to.

wishing you the best of luck in your weight loss journey :)

You're right dAnIeLLe.

I do have the occasional treat when I'm dieting too, and think it helps.

One thing I'm not doing is quitting, I didn't overeat today, and went for a jog and kicked the footy around with some mates. So I hope to have better news next week!
