hi SOI. nice to see a post from you- i have been hiding also! my weight has gone up over the 'silly' season also-dont feel ashamed. i have lost and gained the same 5 kilos for the last 6 months! let's dust ourselves off and have another go eh? sending you my best wishes. :)

Hi Skinny,

The most important thing is that you are back, and that you're still focused on losing the weight. Don't worry about your little gain, it's a minor set back, and like you said, you've lost most of it already anyway. I have done the same thing countless times. Just keep picking yourself up and persevering, and over time you will see results! Don't give up though, as you'll just end up putting more weight on, if you're anything like me :)

I'm back again!!!!!

Current weight: 92.1kg
Goal weight: 60kg

Will be weighing in on Saturdays. I'm hoping to be down to at least 75kg by Christmas.

Hey Skinny,

Just had a read of your posts, your frustrations are ones that I completely understand. You may of had it suggested to you already, but have you thought about starting a food journal? Everyday as soon as you've eaten it write it down. You start to realise what exactly it is putting past your lips. There are invisible calories in alot of liquids that sometimes we forget to count.

Good luck. You CAN do it.

Love your body and it will love you. (My own little philosophy I have wrote on my wall, it maes sense to me! lol!)

You know what...I've never actually kept a food journal of what I have been eating while I've been overweight & unhealthy. I only keep a record of what I'm eating when I'm trying to be good which only usually lasts a week at most . I have no doubt I would be disgusted if I actually had a record of what I ate (& drank) in a week. Mmmm....what have I eaten/drank today?

Banana
Skim coffee + 1 sugar
4 small freddo frogs :oops:
2 sandwiches with butter, 4 low fat cheese slices, pink salmon & raw onion
Large portion of home made sweet & sour pork (fried in sesame oil) with white rice
Half a yoghurt top muesli bar
2 bottles of wine :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops:

Pretty sure I've gone waaaaaaaay over my calorie intake hey!!!!!!

I'm basically sending myself into an early grave with my eating habits & I am really starting to get concerned about the alcohol intake. This has to stop NOW :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

Hey Skinny,

I'm so happy to hear I could offer you some useful advice.

One thing I need to remind myself, is to not deprive myself of anything. So what you've had to eat could still be mingled into your eating plan, just in a differen't way. I don't want to sound like i'm being condesending so if I am forgive me.

Chocolate is part our lives... fact! Well, its part of mine anyway, its the one love I can't ever end my relationship with, doens't matter how long it is until we see each next, its always as good as the last... hahaha! Yeah I like my choccy a little. Anyway, just one freddo a week, but savour it. Sit down with a cup of tea (or preferred bevarage) and enjoy it. So many times have I eaten on the run. Did I enjoy it? Not really. What a waste.

Okay and your sweet and sour fix, if you like home cooking, change the pork for chicken breast, and I had a little look for you on google, I don't think I post links of here but just search for healthy sweet and sour chicken recipies. The first one on the search with brown rice looks really good.

Then carry this mentally with everything you eat/ drink. Have a glass of wine. Make it a treat though. Once / twice a week have a glass of wine and again savour it. Get the good stuff, it will make it that much more special then.

All good advice which I will put into practice. I think I'll start recording my calories on calorie king again as this did work before.

Hi there Skinny welcome back wishing you best of luck on your goals. 75kg by Christmas at your current weight seem like an achievable goal. Go for it! Ill be watching you shrink down to your goal weight lol :)

Hi Latisha,

My week has been fairly good. I have made better choices with food which is a good start...baby steps. I didn't start my 'new' journey until halfway through the week so weigh in tomorrow probably won't reflect anything but I am confident that I will be looking after myself better from now on & all will be good.

I really want to say a big thank you to everyone who has replied to my posts, I really appreciate the support (Ok, I'm crying now :cry: ). I really need help & I'm glad that I have come back to this forum.

How amazing is this forum, so many people brought together by once cause. I have never stuck to coming on a forum so much before, but everyone here is so supportive and full of great advice.

Skinny the support is nothing more than you deserve, maybe is we all had that in the beggining we wouldn't be on the 'journey' we're all on now. You know what though? As cheesy as it sounds, we have each other on this forum to lean on (virtually speaking!)

Current weight: 91.1 kg
Goal weight: 60 kg

Loss for the week: 1 kg

YAY!!! :D

Just realised your here too! BIG Congratulations on the loss! That is Fantastic!!! Considering you started mid week, just think what next weeks weigh in will be!! Go get em girl!!

I read on one of your other posts about taking it week by week! I think thats great! You will get there in time! Just look at those mini goals and stick to them and before you know it, your next mini goal will be the "Goal" weight!!! You can do this!

This is a fantastic start. We are all here to watch your journey! And we will watch and support you along the way!

This week: .5 kg gain :x

Oops!!!! I know where I went wrong though and will put steps into place to change from now on. I went for a big long walk this morning & pushed myself a bit harder. This is going to be at least a 1 year long journey & it's only been 1.5 weeks so far so I'm not giving up already.

Hope everyone else had a better week.

Oh, I am also going to be posting my 'before' (well...current :wink: ) photos in the before, during & after section (once I work out how to do it that is :lol: ) later today if anyone is interested in having a look.
