YOu know what....I think I AM ACTUALLY DOING THIS now!!!
Does that sound strange, perhaps I just needed to push past some tough times - the "I wanna give up" stages and get to here and now to feel this....
I know it is not going to be easy but I cant see myself going back now or giving in just because I couldn't be bothered, have a plurge and never go back or because life throws a curve-ball...
It feels great to (pretty much) habe reached 5 kg... halfway to my next most important (mental) goal of 10kg... 94 kg, here I come!!
Thanks again, I love hearing from you sassy and others with their pearls of wisdom and encouragement!

You ARE doing it! Well done!

I know exactly what you mean, it initially seems SO hard to lose weight. After you lose a couple of kilos though, it doesn't seem so hard and our goals actually seem possible. I remember starting off and thinking that 75kgs was so unrealistic, and now I'm practically there! But at the time, losing 40kgs just seemed like a ridiculously daunting task. I've always tried to focus on smaller amounts and goals, and that way it doesn't seem as though you have so far to go :) What you've done in your signature sounds great!

Hi all

Weigh in date: Saturday March 26th
Weight: 98.1
Loss: 800g
Total loss to date: 5.7kg
Next goal coming up: 97kg

Happy to report ANOTHER LOSS!! woo-hoo

Starting to feel way more positive about m success and potential now!! Still struggling with patience but I know that is prob always going to be an issue!!

Had huge night last night (Hen's night for a girlfriend) with little sleep, 3 wines (alot for me), chocolate, lasagne etc,,,, today I feel very very seedy...!!
BUT I do not fel guilty only that I need to detox a little over the next few days and let my body clear the foods I know it struggles with (namely alcohol, red meat and dairy for me)

Thanks for the ongoing support!!

I posted this in my excersice diary. I have been slipping for almost 2 weeks so I guess a gain is to be expected...
I think I officially did NOT give up again! back to pool tonight after a big push to get out the door. I felt the temptation to stay home SO strong tonight!

Here are my results I posted on the weekend, here in the right spot....

ANother gain after the end of a stressful week....

Sunday April 3
Weight: 98.9
This week: 800g gain
Total loss 4.9
Next goa l(97kg): 1.9 kg

Hmmmmm.... it is the end of a difficult week for me.
Eating poorly and only excersizing once as well as my emotional turmoil has resulted in a gain instead of a loss....
I am not as upset as the last gain I had, but this does make me realise what a tough journey this is...
Only at almost 5kg out of 38kg lost and already had 4 or 5 give up challenges along the way.
I know I can get back into the groove, but I feel it will be a push to get back to the pool and put the chocolate away.

Hi all
Going the wrong way!! Another small gain... :roll:
Feeling pretty low, but determined to get back to it. DH went away most of Sat and overnight last night and I felt very stretched with the kids and ate much worse than I have in ages, A whole block of choc etc...

Today's weigh in: 99.2
Gain: 300g
Total loss 4.6kg

Planning to get to the pool before close today
water aerobics tomorrow
Thurs - swim
Fri

This HAS got to be the end of the gaining and back to losing. I am going to have to get past my issues and keep going.
Wow, I am further away from 10 kilo loss now :(

Rachella forget about the gain and start new again. Dont worry about what has happened in the past weeks just start fresh and watch your numbers go down again. After an average week last week I have stocked the fridge with healthy food and I am planning on doing some exercise this week (Yuk). You can do it too. :wink:

Keep your head up Rach, its gonna be ok. Just focus on doing well again and everything else will fall back into place. Dont let a 10kg mark put you down and if you look closely its not too far you will get there sooner than you think. Keep your motivation levels high and remember that loosing focus and giving in to temptations happens to the best of us but the important thing is to get back and keep going. Personally the only thing that always put me back inline is the hard work and the sacrificies that I have already made this far, the thought of it being all for nothing just does not do it for me, I always find that a good reason to finish what I have started.

I know you can do this!!!

thanks guys
i have picked myself up and went back to the pool. I am thrilled that I have achieved 32 laps (4 sets of 8) laps yesteday - only one set off a kilometre!
I also did water aerobics tonight despite a freezing cold night. My only problem is comfort eating... I need to get tougher thats for sure. Comfort food over winter is also tough for me...! My goal now is to keep going... more swim sessions at 32 and water aerobics and tracking!!
Feeling a little less shakey, just need to keep going...
Man I seriously did not realise how tough this would be.

Skipped last check in on weekend. Am struggling here.
It has been three tough weeks in a row, 2 gains (totalling 1.1kg). Did not weigh last weekend. Fearful really...\

Keep your head high, push right thru, I know you can do it. Do not give up. I think a gain of 1.1kg over 3 weeks is not bad @ all I gained 2kg in just 1 week over Easter. I gained 5kg in 2 months December time but I found it somewhere in me not to throw the towel... Just keep at it, baby-steps you will definately get there... This journey is sure not easy, I know. Hang in there...

OH MY GOD =- I am so relieved!
I skipped last week's weigh in and this morning I recorded a 1.4kg loss.
Total loss now of 6.1 and I am sitting at 97.7.
Next mini goal is 97, then 10 kilos when i reach 94.
It is so true that you have to stand strong on your own on this journey, no one is going to do it for you.
I refuse to give up on myself!
