Really good week this week. Weighed in with a lose of 1.5kg! Happy happy happy :D Slowly but surely getting there.

I am however a little bit concerned for this week. I hurt my knee badly playing netball last night and really am unable to walk on it at the moment. Considering this is how I've been doing all my exercise I'm not sure what another good substitute would be. Anyone have any ideas on something to get my heart rate up which doesn't really require my legs? I'll have to look on the net for some ideas and just really watch what I eat this week.

Best wishes for everyone on a successful week :)

Awesome work Starz!!! Congrats on another great loss :-D

I was just at the gym getting an assessment thingy done and the guy was talking about weights, maybe a lot of upper body work while sitting? its not cardio as such but if done properly without big breaks can keep your heart rate up!!

Good Luck and with your success so far I am sure you wont let this little set back hold you back!!!

Thanks for the advice becky. In the second half of the week I started walking again but only slowly, however i got the weights out and got my heart rate up by using the weights!

So another week gone by and I got a lose of .5kgs. Very expected seeing as I really didn't exercise much and was still on holidays. But very happy...it is still a lose! Oh and I have a new temptation at home now seeing as my sister got a new job at a bakery. Ah bread my weakness! Love it too much. *sigh and now she brings home the leftover bread, but I've been fairly good in that I just have a bite and feel not much of a need to have any more.

Ready for a good week this week. Knee is feeling better. I'm back at uni so ready to get into a good routine. Going to start walking to the train station now too just to get that extra bit of walking in.

Looking forward to posting next weeks result!

glad to hear you were able to get the heart rate up with the weights, you really have done such an awesome job considering you seem to get some setback or another every week!!!

Another awesome thing, that I am particularly jealous of is your consistency with weight loss, you always have some and it stays within a very good range, which means you must be doing all the right things and consistently too!

The bread does sound a little evil, I work in an ice-cream factory so I know about that sort of temptation, I found that if you say one day a week you can have something if you want, it stops it being a "bad" food and makes it a sometimes food, however since I have said I can have it, I dont really find I want it coz its not something I cant have...

Had another good lose this week of 1kg! Feeling good this week especially after my alcohol free weekend! Very excited to hit the 80's, just need to be patient and will get there in a few weeks. Also keeping motivated as I got my first compliment...a friend said I'm looking good and she said she could tell I've lost weight around my face, which was great to hear.

Til next week :D

I am hoping to get my first compliment this weekend, where I live I dont know anyone so wouldnt expect them to notice (plus my uniform is majorly baggy) but im off to see friends where I used to live for the weekend.... and almost 7kg down I hope someone does notice!!! I think I need the reassurance!!!

....so didn't have a great week. Put on 0.5kg. Think I just became quite complacent seeing as I've been having some really good loses. I kept exercising but struggled saying no to the cakes that my sister was bringing home.

Think I needed it to remember that it is not easy and I do constantly need to keep my guard up and remember to always think...am I actually hungry? Do I need this food?

Hopefully this week will be better. Also was going through some of the forums and came across someone who came up with the idea of buying a charm for a bracelet when you reach a goal. So when I hit the 80's I'm going to buy a Pandora charm for my bracelet. I got quite excited about that and can't wait to choose one!

Hey starz,

This is the first time ive been back on since I posted my last post so missed this one until now. I think you are absolutely correct in that sometimes its good to have a gain week (despite the huge frustration and deflation when reading the scales) to motivate you back into doing the right thing. I am convinced that you will have an awesome week this time and lose the 0.5kg and then some :-D
External things like housemates bringing home junk or work mates sharing rubbish food are some of the really really hard things and I believe my success so far is due in part to the fact that I dont have a housemate or friends where I live. You are learning an awesome skill by being surounded by the things your sister is bringing home and it will take some time to adapt to it but im darn sure you will get there!!!

All the best for this week!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!

Back on it this week and lost 1kg! Getting pretty impatient though to get past this 95kg road block. Hoping for a good week. Uni is keeping me really busy so it's good to actually not be too tempted when I go out seeing as I've been a hermit for the last week or so. Plus I've got my study snacks organised, usually a good variety of seeds to snack on or carrot and celery sticks with some healthy dips.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Had a really slack last two weeks. Well I've been really good during the week then have had two massive weekends in a row. So not too bad I guess in the sense that I've lost 0.5kg's but I feel horrible and gross from way too much alcohol and crap. Think I need a bit of time off the booze. I'll have a think about it during the week, may be time for a month off it. Trying to get back into it this week. The real test will be the weekend I guess. Hope everyone is doing well. Wouldn't mind a bit of inspiration and motivation right about now.

Hi Starz,

.5kg is a great effort especially considering the weekends you have been having! Good for yOU!!

You certainly have done extremly well so far to loose 8kg!! You have to keep it up! That 8kg must feel like almost a dress size?? That is fantastic!

You can keep it up! I will be watching your progress for inspiration for my journey!

Good work!
