I think if I get those numbers in 4 weeks, I'll be more than happy to move forward and reach those 70's, they will be so much closer. That's my main hurdle. Once I'm in those 70's I will take things slow and steady, do what works but don't push to the limit so I give up. This needs to be a long term thing.

Of course yeah, as I've said before my main problems begin when l actually get to goal..

I will cry tears of joy when I ACTUALLY reach goal!!! The lowest I ever got was 73kg, so still shy 8kg of my goal.... And yet, the thought of being just IN the 70's would be enough for me, at least I would be content enough to take things slow. I have to get there first though ;)

I got to tell you...when I reached goal...there was no tears of joy or whooping out loud.
All I said was - "finally"...I was so over the losing weight part of the journey, the overriding emotion was relief that it was done.

Mentally I think I was ready for what maintenance was all about by then. The last month and a half of bouncing around the same set of numbers pretty well educated me to what lay ahead.

So the aim is to take out 73 Kgs by Dec right? I'm looking at taking out my all time low of 78.4 Kgs.. When I say all time I mean of recent times, I was actually 75 Kgs in my Army basic training and remember being 69.9 Kgs when I was 20 or 21..

We can do this..
Highs : 107 Kg (24 Sept 2007) : 113.5 Kg (12 Jan 2014) : 107 Kg (3 May 2019)
Current :105 Kg (17 May 2019)
Lows : 78.4 Kg (20 May 2008) : 87.4 Kg (on 16 Dec in both 2009 & 2010) : 82.9 Kg (14 Apr 2011) : 87.1 Kg (4 Jul 2011) : 90.5 Kg (14 Jul 2014) : 99.2 Kg (31 May 2016) : 104.7 Kg (10 May 2019)
Target : 90 Kg by 9 Aug 2019

I think it will be a huge amount of relief at finally being there as you say Kim. But a part of me will be extremely happy and feel that overwhelming achievement.

You're on, JP! 73kg by December.

But in smaller goals...

Goal one - have a successful eating weekend (always my downfall)
Goal two - get to Thursday for weigh in
Goal 3 - get to the end of week 2
Goal 4 - get to the Monday of that week
Goal 5 - end of week 3 (aim 86kg)
Goal 6 - hold on just for another week...hit end of week 4 (aim 84.9kg)
Goal 7 - push through just one more week to solidify low 80's (aim 84kg)
Goal 8 - get through that weekend with good exercise and eating
Goal 9 - as a reward for getting to the next weigh in, treat myself to a calorie control "hearty" meal (aim 83kg)
Goal 10 - get to Sunday with epic exercise and eating and go for a pedicure
Goal 11 - go searching for smaller pants in my wardrobe ;)
Goal 12 - reach next weigh in and take a day off from hard training (aim 82kg)
Goal 13 - re-asses eating, what works and what doesn't? Spice things up. Make changes.
Goal 14 - reach next weigh in (aim 81kg)
Goal 15 - push HARD this week, lots of cardio and early bed times
Goal 16 - get to the Monday before weigh in, throw out fat clothes
Goal 17 - weigh in (aim 79.95kg) don't be too sad if you don't get there
Goal 18 - stress free week of "back to basics" to avoid holding on to weight

The happiness comes in the living. I keep on about "better future" all the time and I mean it. Don't get me wrong life before weight loss was pretty ok for me...but there is so much more! Today for example...I was walking with my wife in a shopping centre and I did a little bouncing jiggery jump. She asked what was that all about? I answered because life is good...and I've got the energy to do it whereas in the old days I couldn't get my hooves off the ground and now I can - so I did!

I was surfing through some images on the net to find stuff to inspire a friend on her journey when I came across one that I thought you could relate to Shelley.
Hope you enjoy it...

 Oh, Kim, but he DID kill me!!! Or at least tried to. And I haven't been back since! I want him to forget we ever did that session so I don't have to do his program :P I will head back shortly but for the next week or so, I still need to get myself back into the swing of things. There's one huge set back I have to deal with re: the separation and I think once that is sorted, I will be able to focus more on the task at hand :)

You know that you want to go back...you miss the pain!

Remember...what doesn't kill you makes - the trainer very frustrated!

Guess I missed the pain ;) I even faced the gym after a long stint away. My jogging form is getting ever stronger which is awesome. And even did a Kettle bell work out last night.
