BJAM's weekly weighing of less (hopefully!)

Postby bjam » Fri Mar 25, 2011 10:55 pm

Hey all!

Ohk - well I have been reading lots on here and looking into all sorts of eating options and I have decided I am going to try and stick to the eating plan given on the weigh-it-up website and see how I go! I am posting here so I can keep track of any changes and so I have some extra motivation to stick to the plan! According to my BMI I should be aiming for 54, but I would be soo happy with 60 - and to begin with I will be aiming for 70!

I actually started 2 days ago and start measures are:

Weight: 78kg
Waist: 96
Hips: 106
Bust: 103

wish me luck :)

4 days in - I decided to try the 7 days of soup thing to start (but only intended to do 3 days so I made a half recipe which I found to be a good amt for the 3 days) - btw whilst im not sure how effective this was I did actually feel really good on this - not hungry and just that nice feeling when you havnt eaten oily/fatty or overly filling foods - as of this morning I had lost about 1kg :) but also I am starting to follow the eating plan from here - so today I ate a slight variation whilst I cooked for tomorrow:

Breakfast: apple
Snack: another apple :P
Lunch: Small sumo salad
Dinner: Soup (the recipe from the set menu that you are meant to have for 2 days to start)
After dinner - still hungry - so I made a smoothie with 1/2 a banana, 1/4c oats, 2tsp low fat yogurt, 1c light milk, 1tsp peanut butter, ice cubes - TASTY (this is probably a bit hectic for a snack but I decided I had not eaten so much today as to rule it out - have decided this is going to be an awesome breakfast instead in the future)

How do you guys go waiting a whole wk to check ur weight? Do you get curious like me and check mid wk?

B

am now using myfitnesspal to work out my daily calories and have decided maybe I cut it back a bit much - was eating a bit under 1000cals per day (on most days - have had a night out that came to just under 1500cals for that day due to alcohol consumption :P) - so now trying to make it up to 1200 and still using the menu plan from weighitup - but quite honestly it is really hard to get the calories up to that amount eating healthy foods! I am trying to find really high calorie snacks as after filling in all my meals for the day (what I think are 3 full and good meals) I was still 300cals off my goal!

Anyway - have stayed at 75kg for about 4 days, which is annoying, but fine, as it is still 3kg loss in the first 2wks - I am excited though as I am already feeling a difference in my jeans, which were quite tight 2wks ago!!! WOOP! (its all about the little victories over here :D)

will be trying for the higher calories for this week and see how it goes - will still be weighing in wednesday, wish me luck!

... weigh in this morning ... still sitting at 75kg! Overall that is 3kg down in 2wks - but I had dropped to this at the start of this week... I am a little dissapointed honestly.

I am just going to stick to it and hope there is a shift next week - I have been marking every little ingredient and thing I eat into my food diary and counting calories so I hit 1200 each day - it is possible it is a little off but I would not have said significantly.

FRUSTRATING!

maybe I will get one of those electronic scales so I can do decimals ... perhaps that would be more encouraging ...

have been away for a week - wow it is hard to control calories eating out every day! didnt do too badly, and didnt put on any weight that week so I count that as success :) also was a delightful holiday with the family so all in all had an excellent time - now that I am home though back to the 1200 per day, and must admit I am having a lot of fun planning my food ahead of time to meet my goal!

Weigh in this morning is 73.2kg :D (went to electronic, but mostly agrees with my other scale - anyway, will use this one from here) - so have lost 0.8kg since getting back!

4.8 overall - would love to get to 5 in the next couple of days - not a lot dif but it is such a nice sounding amount to have lost haha.

Thanks sassy! :)

but ack! this morning, 73.3?? Why would it go up? I ate the same calories yesterday as I have been (1250) and was even out walking around most of the day - was dead tired by the end of it and yet have gone up...

Not by much and i realise there are fluctuations that are not related to fat but water and what not, it is just annoying to see that on the scale when I know I am being so good.

ah well - carry on :P

I am failing at doing this whole "weekly" thing haha. I just cant help but go check in the morning!

I had SOOO much water yesterday and also close to 200 extra calories (really hungry day - I would have eaten soo much more if I wasnt recording each thing into my diary and watching as I crept futher and further over my daily goal :P ) but this morning I am 72.7 :D

Well done!
You are just like me when it comes to the scale
I just cannot help but take a peak :P and yes it stresses me up when I see what I dont wanna see...
I really must try to do it once a week I think its better that way.
The fluctuations can really be dishertening especially when its not South lol
Anyway Keep up the good work you are doing great!
