Hi guys!
I figure this is a pretty good way to keep track of my weight loss journey and also to keep myself accountable each week. Maybe I'll think twice before eating that chocolate if I have to weigh in here each week!
So just as a bit of a background, at my lightest I was 60kgs or so... then I went to uni and started working at KFC and ballooooonneed out to 78kgs!! (im only 164cms tall). So i worked really hard and managed to shed most of the weight and get back to a respectable 63kgs and stay that way for probably a year. Last week I jumped on the scales for the first time in ages and to my horror I was now 67.2!!!
Definitely not a good direction to be heading in before summer! So let the diet begin! My goal would be 60kgs but I just want to feel happy and confident in a bikini... without boardshorts (eeekkkkkk!!!). Have never ever worn a bikini without boardies! So at the end of this I will post a piccy in them!! Haha

Good work Lauren - I am so proud of you!

I am starting my weight loss now.. better late than never!

I look forward to wearing a bikni by the beach withouth boardies too :)

Haha yep that is definitely the goal! Bout time we got our butts into gear and FINALLY do it!!

Weighed in this morning... 66.0kgs! Another small loss but definitely heading in the right direction. Have found it a bit easier this last week to do thing right thing eating wise... I've even got the boy on board to do the same!

Hmm... got on the scales a little earlier than my normal "weekly weight-in" day and Im still 66.0kgs... the same as last week! Damn! I've even been exercising any everything!! I hate that! :|

So it's Wednesday... weigh day..
Lost a measly 100g for the week!!!!! Thats like a poop! Sorry but it's true! Haven't been exercising as much as I should have been cause I've got a stupid flu, but I have been eating right and maintaining the 1200 calorie daily limit. Hmm, maybe next week I'll see a decent loss? Very easy to lose motivation though when the results are so little!

hey, it's a loss! Don't be discouraged!! You ate healthy, you did a little exercise and you have the flu. No need to belt yourself up - you're doing a great job.
The scales aren't the only place that results will show. I know it's great to see the numbers go down but by doing what you're doing then you are doing the best thing for your body!

Well it's Week 4, one month down! Probably not where I imagined myself being at the start of this, but I think I started out with some unrealistic expectations!
Another 400g down for the week so almost 2kgs in 4 weeks. I can justify it to some extent I suppose... was pretty much knocked out with the flu this week and have only got on the treadmill seriously over the last 2 days.
Im a pretty inpatient person and I guess i like things to happen NOW! But this is just one thing that can't be rushed I suppose!
BUT in saying all of that, a loss is a loss and any loss is a step in the direction of that bikini!!! :D

Week 5.... what a shitty 7 days! Got on the scales yesterday and was up 200g!!!! So frustrating! I suppose I'm the first to admit that I once again probably didn't do all I could do, but to actually go UP! So frustrating! I exercised most days and definitely stated below 1400 calories each day (Im aiming for no more than 1200).
One positive thing I suppose is that I do feel a lot fitter than I did 5 weeks ago. Was actually able to jump on the treadmill and run for just over 11 minutes straight which for me is like, massive! Haha. Off to the gym tonight for a Body Pump class and will most likely die but anyways, see how I go!
Am definitely going to do all I can this next week to get into that 64kg range... Am hoping to lose at least 1/2 a kilo but something more like a kg would be fantastic!
