OK, I'm a bit late posting here as I stayed away on holiday for a few days extra.

90.4kg was my weight on Feb 3
So I lost 1kg from the week previous and have now lost 3.6kg

Glad to have lost weight while on holiday, and now my BMI is in overweight zone.

cheers

1 day to go for my weekly weigh in, not looking forward to it as I went to a birthday party on the weekend and had a piece of carrot cake with lemon icing, bbq sausages with white bread and just had to have some lollies as well. Oh and some corn chips. My jeans feel baggier though, and I was quite active through the weekend jet skiing and fishing etc. I did quite a bit of walking too. I love fish, and probably ate too much of what I caught .....no probably about it, I did eat too much fish.
Anyway, the scales will tell the story tomorrow.

Hi Again, as you will see from my last post I had a few extras at a birthday, but was also quite active for the week.

87.8kg for a loss of 1.5kg. my biggest loss in a week so far, goes to show what exercise and a bit of physical work can do, even with eating naughty food.

I have a few days fencing and repairs to do on my land, its only 12 acres, so that should help this week, especially as there are no birthday cakes to eat.

Until next week.

Wow you are just doing so well, such a great weight loss, mine is stagnant, will be that way for a while. I will be ecstatic if I can back from being away for a month and find a weight loss.

86.1kg for a loss of 1.7kg this week.

Hi again, thanks for the the support everyone. I did my fence maintenance in hot weather and also did a few walks this week before getting a cold. I have kept my kilojoule intake the same since I started last month, which gave me a projected weight loss of 1kg a week, so any variance in weight loss is due to exercise or physical work. Weighing less now and consuming the same kilojoules I should lose 0.9kg a week if I return to my normal activity levels.

When I was 94kg I needed 11500 kj's per day to stay the same weight with my activity level. I reduced my kj's to 7000 per day for the 1kg loss per week. This works out to a reduction of 31500 kj's over a week. 1KG of fat has 32000 kj's.

Can you tell I'm a numbers person and like math.
I find it's not so much what you eat, but how much of it you eat, as long as your kj's are less than you burn, you'll lose weight. But healthy food has less Kj's per 100grams so it fills you up more. I find myself feeling quite full, but have eaten more to keep at 7000 kj's a day.

Ok, enough rambling on this post, I'm off to Taupo early this morning for 3 days, so this could be a test with no food scales.

Until next week.

Hi again,

85.8kg for a loss of 0.3kg this week.

Going to lake Taupo for 3 days was hard without food scales, I also ate too much meat, biscuits and some banana cake, almost forgot the ice cream too. I was straight back into healthy eating when I got home though. Having a cold for the past week hasn't helped either, I have been much less active this past week, almost over the cold now and have just finished a walk, the first exercise in 9 days, so I should be back in the groove this week.

i would of been happy with a break even week, so am happy to have a small loss. No birthdays etc this week, so I'm looking for a 1kg loss this coming week.

Until next week....

Hi again,

84.5kg for a loss of 1.3kg this week.

I have kept my kilojoule intake the same but did 3 4km fast walks and cut firewood on another day which accounts for the extra weight loss. I have been doing this for nearly 8 weeks now, lost 9.5kg and about 10cm off my waist. My blood pressure has come down from 140/90 to 104/72 and my resting heart rate is down from 74 to 58. Hills on my farm I use to walk up very slowly and pause a few times, I find I just walk up normally now. Great that my heart isn't working so hard to pump blood around now.

To get into a normal BMI I would have to get to 74kg, I find the BMI thing not really ideal, so am aiming for the more modern waist to height ratio, which makes more sense. This would put me around 77kg as an ideal weight, which is what I was just after leaving school 27 years ago.
More numbers, enough rambling....

Until next week...
