Hello again,

76.9kg for a loss of 1.2kg this week.

I have had a lot of work to do on the farm the past few weeks, and for the next week as well. About half my weight loss the past two weeks has come from that, and the other half from diet. Funny how I could barely do 15 minutes of hard work before on more food, now I can go for hours on less food.

My original plan was to diet for 4 months, mid January to mid May, and to get down to around 80-82kg. If I continue to mid May, I should get my BMI below 25 and be around 75kg. I'm amazed at how much I have lost, also how much energy I have. Enough about diet, time for breakfast and some more work.

Until next week....

Well done :)

You may have been able to do less work on more food but you were carting around 17K more than you are now.

Yes true, I have body analysis scales, and they say I have lost about 13kg of fat and 4kg of muscle, think it was my heart that wasn't handling it too well though, I would get light headed and think I needed more food. Picking up two buckets with 8.5 kg 's of water in each sure makes me realize what I was carrying around.

Thanks for the support and good luck with your plan.

I just wanted to say "WOW", you have done an amazing job so far, losing all that weight and keeping it up while on holidays, through birthdays and while being sick. Congrats on nearly being there and for everything you've already done.

Hello again,

75.8kg for a loss of 1.1kg this week.

Only 0.3kg to lose to get my BMI to 24.9.
Probably would of lost a bit more this week, but I was eating a little extra as I was doing hard work around the farm. No hard work this week, so I'll have to stick to my kilojoule plan and some walking. I'll continue on to the 15th May, which will be 4 months since I started.
I'll have to start buying some new clothes soon, as even my smallest old clothes are getting baggy, I've lost over 6 inches from my waist now. My jeans bought in early January fall to my ankles when they are done up, and they look huge.
I have a few birthday dinners this week, and a lunch, so it will be a bit more difficult, but I know my portion sizes etc now. Fingers crossed...

Until next week....

Hi again,

74.8kg for a loss of 1.0kg this week.
I am now officially in the healthy BMI range, the first time since I was a teenager 25 years ago.
I thought I would look too skinny at this weight, but I don't, I just look healthy.
I started doing my walks this week, but turned them into runs. When my Doctor told me off in January at 94kg, he said try running, well in that first week my longest jog was for 180meters, my heart just wasn't handling it, so I stopped doing any running and just dieted.
This week I was doing 3km jogs each day, takes me about 15 minutes, which is all the cardio work I need.
Tuesday 15th May I'll weigh in, as that's my 4 months up that I said I would diet for. After that I will continue to eat healthy, but not weigh all my food and count kj's. I'll keep an eye on my weight though, just to keep track. I want to stay under 75kg to be in the healthy BMI range, truth is I still have a slight tummy, and could probably do with losing another 2 or 3 kg. Will see how I go not weighing everything first.

Until Tuesday....

That is just so-o fantastic!!

Congratulations.

I live your attitude to taking it easy by not weighing etc and seeing how your weight goes before thinking of losing those extra k's...so sensible :)

Hi again,

73.7kg for a loss of 1.2kg

4 months is up, total loss 20.3kg, waist down from 40inches to 33.
When I started "Old MacDonalds Weekly Weigh Less" I never thought that I would lose weight every week for 4 months, my smallest loss was .3kg when I went away for a holiday to Lake Taupo.
Exercise the past two weeks has really added to my weight loss, I will keep exercising a little, as I will be eating more from now on and not weighing my food, I'll keep an eye on my weight though, just so it doesn't fluctuate too much, I'd like to stay in the 72 to 75kg range as I look fine around here. I could probably do with a bit of toning up now, but I'm rural and 20minutes from the nearest gym, will try and do toning at home.
I'll still do an update here, just to remind me where I was.
Thanks for all the support from everyone.

Until next time....

Hi again,

72.7kg

Well it's been a couple of weeks since I stopped weighing all my food and counting kj's.
I have been doing a bit of exercise to tone up etc and still eating healthy, although I still have my ice cream each night after dinner, just not as much as I use to before I started. I may have to start weighing food again to make sure I am getting enough kj's to maintain my weight.
I had a Doctors visit last week, he was amazed when I walked in, and said I looked like a different person. I said I felt like one. Had blood test done, My cholesterol is down from 5.2 to 4.2, triglyceride down from 2.4 to 1, HDL cholesterol up from 0.8 to 1.15(up is good for this one), LDL cholesterol down drom 3.3 to 2.6 and my cholesterol ratio is down from 6.5 to 3.6
He also said my resting heart rate is around 50, so my hearts not working as hard, it use to be 75 to 80.
I'm off to the beach for 4 days for some fishing, looking forward to it.

Until next time.....

Thanks Danielle, I'm doing fine, down to 71.4kg this morning, but I'm working on getting fitter now, not really trying to lose weight, trying to tone up a little bit as well. Not posting on here weekly now, as I should stay pretty stable now weight wise.
You have great results, well done, keep it up. Makes it easier when the results are there. cheers
