Phillip's weekly weight in

Postby phillip94 » Sat Mar 10, 2012 9:09 pm

So starting as of 10/03/2012 i will be back into exercising and losing those kilos! Im going to be posting what i do throughout the week with my exercises and my goals hopefully for each week. Now i believe im on a strict time limit of 5 months- 6 months maximum to shed 25.6kg's to reach my goal weight of 77 kilos to get in shape for my navy interviews, and build my self confidence. Navy means allot to me because it's the job i want to do for the rest of my life, and i can't let my weight screw that up. I was previously fit enough for the navy last year but i took a turn when i failed my interviews last year, so im back on track to shed the kilos+ allot more. It's stated in some documents that you need to be at a fitness level of below 33 BMI, if fit exactly that, this is overweight for my age. At 77kg's i will be at 24BMI, which is pretty healthy. The following is what i must be able to complete if i pass my interviews this year:
25 pushups (i hate pushups!!)
25 situps
2.5km under 13 minutes.

Yeah so this week im going to be jogging allot and focussing on exercising 2 twice a day with 2 rest days. Building my muscles in my arms and increasing my cardiovascular system through jogging and my exercise bike.
The exercises i may perform will be:
Swimming laps for 1 hour
Jogging on track and on a bush walk
Walking at a moderate pace
And home workouts at home which includes exercise bike and a home gym.

current weigh in as of 10/03/2012- 102.6kg's
Stay in touch on the 17/03/2012 is my next weigh in!

Sounds good, what sort of workouts are you doing in your homegym. I have a benchpress and am wondering what to do to help loose my gut.

Well i would recommend cardio, cadio, cardio, along with stomach workouts such and sit ups, and crunches. And what i use to do is make up set of exercises for my stomach or what ever part and perform them 12-15 repetitions each, then do 3-4 sets of them with rests of 1 minute in between each set, if you do this each day with cardio you should be seeing results after awhile.
And my home gym has no bench press really, it's mainly used to build muscles in your arms, and legs, and my cardio on my exercise bike.

Just thought i'd update everyone on my progress so far, this week as of sunday 18th of march i have went from 102.6kg's to 100.6 kgs! Pretty Impressed with myself so far, except next week i expect to lose more. I slacked off on fri, sat, sun. I want to keep on going all week so i can lose more. This is what i done throughout last week.

Daily activities included:
Walk 50 minute
10 minute jog
80km exercise bike ride(split up, 40km in morning, 20km's after i eat in the morning, and another 20km's after i eat dinner)

So yeah my main goal next week is to stick to my daily activities untill saturday 24th of march!
I also tested myself since i lost weight, and i can finally do 15 pushups!!! yesss

Congratulations that is a great result, keep up the good work.

The 50minute walk, what are you averaging km wise for that, out of curiosity as I do 5km in anywhere from 53 to 55min?

Well the 50 minute walk is probably anywhere from 6km-6.5km. That walk for me concists of a 2.4km walk which will lead onto a bush walking track, which i jog half of. Walk the rest which is 1.7km to the end. Then i walk back to where i started the 2.4km walk.
So added it up and its 6.5km.

Thankyou, it's not looking good this week. Iv'e been very busy with SES with some flood situations, and have gotten nill exercise in with unhealthy food :(

Only good thing iv'e done this week off topic is help rescue someone who was washed away and sandbag houses. But in general im not going to dwell on my weight gain, it'll be easy enough to get off next week. It's not the end of the world.

Thank you!

No, I haven't been flooded but one never knows when they will need the SES so thanks in advance :)

Sandbagging looks like it could be quite strenuous so who know...you might have done more exercise than you realise

Yeah kind of, but i know the stuff i ate haha.. very un-healthy. In the case of the sand bagging, my muscles are quiet sore, lifting, pulling, and dragging those 15kg's bags everywhere. We would of made quiet allot for my muscles to be sore.

okay so i know iv'e put on weight this week, done no exercise also hate very un-healthy. Had a real busy week with SES and floods. My weigh in will be tomorrow 24/03/2012. But yet again im not so worried because i will burn it off next week, i shall post what i want to start achieving from tomorrow saturday- thursday next week. I know i would of gained like 2-3kg's... for some damn reason i gain weight so damn easily...

I want to increase my muscle gain, i have clearly lost it this week. I can no longer complete 15 pushups i have trouble doing 7 now....
I want to burn off 4kg's! Yes i burnt of 3 kg's in 1 week ,2 weeks ago. It is possible with my diet and being calorie deficient by around 3500-4000(this isn't un-healthy for me! I eat perfectly fine, it's just i exercise ALLOT).
I want to keep at my previous records of my bush walk/jogging which is 21.58mins
I want to be able to achieve 15 pushups again.
In general i want to stick to my exercises and eating habits for the whole 6 out of 7 days of the week. Tomorrow(saturday-next thursday)

My daily exercises may include:
80km exercise bike ride in total split up throughout the day(40km-20km-20km)
Swimming at the town pool, havn't done this in ages.. i really look foward to doing it one day!
I workout on my home gym to build muscle in my arms.
Bush walking/jogging
Running

I shall be posting my weight tomorrow morning and get started on losing it again!
