Retire_the_fat's weekly weigh in

Postby Retire_The_Fat » Sat Mar 17, 2012 11:59 am

I've joined the challenge but have started this to keep me going for after the 12 weeks :)

Original weight about 20th Feb 101.5K

Last week's weight: 98.5

Today's weight 98.6
Hmmmmmmm

Excuses??
1. No car for 3 days to go down to use my friend's pool for exercising . I dont DO exercise (Thought change to be made here!)
2. Birthdays Friday (friend) and Saturday (mine)

Get past today, Paddy's day and I should be right.

That's me got less than 40K to lose!!
Whew. The hill doesn't look quite as steep! LOL

I wasn't very good this week but am not stressing out about it because I didn't binge or eat too many biscuits.
I did have a couple of small meals though so am pleased that I didn't indulge in sweet stuff after eating 'proper' food :)

Goodwork, when i slip up that usually means for me i need support. However sometimes it's my own fault haha, such as when i have rest days i intend to eat un-healthy abbit. Just because i get so bored... not hungry bored. I don't know why i eat when im bored. But my family isn't very supportive having all junks in the fridge and pantries.

You may not be getting the support you need, i know what it's like to lose weight by yourself. Ever since grade 10 i was jogging and working out by myself for a good 5 months. I was so motivated for those 5 months by myself, but for some reason i hit a brick wall and just stopped all together. However i started up again in grade 11 and told my friends abbit about my weightloss and they supported me greatly and still do, just simply asking how iv'e been going each week. People also started seeing results and congratulated me which gave me loads of support, or simply just by me updating my facebook status of my weightloss. I had a load of support through that website.

But i put part of my weight back on, and now im going for it again. My friends still support me, but i don't really share weightloss stuff on facebook anymore. Because when i try to i feel abbit ashamed and embarrassed because i failed really.

What im trying to get at, is there support all around you. Just takes time and effort by yourself first for people to notice and help you out. This coming from my past experiences.

You're right about the support being all around but I usually dont tell folk because I dont want to admit when I fail.

This time I'm so gee'ed up about it there is no thought of failure so am freely telling ppl ...just not telling them when I have bad days!!

Yeah that sounds like me, i don't like to share when i fail. So what ill try to do is quickly lose that weight and say that iv'e maintained my weight, which i feel bad for. But i don't want to admit it, however tomorrow is my rest day and i tend to slip up on rest days... Im going to do my best not to eat so unhealthy tomorrow. I want to maintain not gain haha.

Maintain not gain

I like that!

Yes, rest days are necessary to put some change into the body's awareness of what we're doing, diet and exercise-wise. Only thing is, we should still eat sensibly on a rest day as we have to teach ourselves that is the way we WANT to eat for the rest of our lives so good luck tomorrow :)

I'm really not looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in:(

Have visitors up for the Easter long weekend and it was another friend's birthday. We had that friend, his wife and father-in-law Po for a BBQ and I bakes a chocolate guiness cake....it was delicious, as were the Belgian shell chocolates my weekend guests brought up

Ah well, at least I'm still exercising. Have actually increased it since getting the treadmill yesterday. I did my pool exercises and 25 mins on the treadmill.

OOps, I haven't added my weight the last 2 weeks
Lost weight the first of the 2 and added some back on the 2nd. That really threw me so got serious again this week and have lost 1.6? bringing me down to a total of 7k lost in 10 weeks so that's not too bad.

Will have to be a bit more accountable if I want to get to my goal for the end of this challenge though

That's great! From what I read in how many calories we have to burn to lose just 1/2kg of weight a week you are going a very good job of weight loss. Keep it up.
