It is with a slight dissapointment I start off.

Saturday morning weigh-in - 21st April 2012

69kg - gain of 0.5kg

Do you know why you gained?

Have you been exercising and perhaps gained muscle?

No not sure, I don't think I've exercised enough to gain muscle.

I've watched what I eat too. This weight feels like it's been glued to me for years now so maybe it's too ambitious to think that in just one week there would be a great loss.

Hi everyone,

I've kept to my exercise plan and watched my diet all week, ate my normal food but no double helpings, no eating after 8pm and still no biscuits.

So weigh in this week is 67.7kg, a loss of 1.3kg from last week.

That's great news

ate my normal food but no double helpings, no eating after 8pm and still no biscuits


and should be easy to keep up...apart from the biscuits till you get out of the habit of reaching for them :)

On the not soo good side it has been a big week for celebration eating and drinking. I have indulged in cake, restaurant food and creamy desserts.

On the better side I have kept up the exercise plan (outlined in Almost There), kept away from the biscuits & haven't eaten after 8pm.

Here is the weight result - 68kg - gain of 0.3kg.

The damage is not crushing but I need to do better with my diet this coming week and redefine the goals.

You're plan of not eating biscuits and not eating after 8pm is working :)

Those social events will keep coming up, wont they?? LOL

I reckon, considering, that you have done well and can afford to pat yourself on the back before setting out on this week's weight loss

Hi Everyone

It's been an average week of exercise, missed one session and had to go slower on the other days due to a strain. I guess that's what happens when the body is not used to regular exercise.

It's been another week of temptation in the fridge, I ate very small portions of cake and icecream. I opened two packets of biscuits for the family, one large choc packet which I told myself they looked like poison and another packed of cream ones which I wasn't tempted to eat either because I told myself they looked artificial. Yay for me as in the past I think my biscuit addiction was a big barrier to losing weight.

So here goes, weigh in this week is 67.6 - loss of 0.4kg.

I'm well on track for the goal for this month. This coming week I will do all the planned exercise sessions and hopefully NO cake or ice-cream.

Yes, I am so happy with myself for not having had a biscuit in about 3 weeks now, I honestly thought I'd only be able to do that for one weekend at a time. These are the first packets of biscuits I've opened since my biscuit detox started.

Even my hubby noticed that he is the only one eating the choc ones now and has asked I don't buy them anymore. Yes, I think I can manage that...

I will keep saying to myself that choc biscuits are poison for me and that cream ones are not real food.

That's great that your husband doesn't want the chocolate biscuits now. Means less temptation :)

Hi Everyone,

Strain is healing and exercise is back on track. Both cycling and walking is going well, it has even started to feel a little enjoyable. We went out to dinner to a friend's home and I ate until I felt satisfied not everything on offer. And I didn't finish off my children's desserts!

However I did eat small portions of cake (again!), and two cream biscuits (arrghh!).

Weigh in for the week is 67.4kg - loss of 0.2kg.

Clearly I'm not losing big numbers every week but I do feel I can keep up the exercise and I'm slowing but permanently changing my eating habits.

All the best for everyone's weight loss goals for the week.
