Hello peoples...
This weigh in i lost 0.6 kilos... It is strange but i am seeing a pattern beginning to happen. Even if i exercise and eat the same each week. I am losing every 2nd week over a kilo and every other week i am losing under a kilo. I have no idea why this is happening. But oh well as long as there is a loss each week i am stoked...
So i have now lost 16.1 kilos leaving me 3.9 kilos till i reach my first goal of 130 kilos... I realy want to pamper myself with something when i reach that goal.. My ultimate goal is to reach between 70 - 80 kilos ... depending how i feel and how i look like at 80 kgs.... I had my wake up call that i needed to lose this weight when my specialist doctor said you need to lose weight otherwise by the time you are 40 you are going to have alot of problems... Since that day i have begun my weight loss journey... That was 3 months ago and in that time i have lost 16.1 kgs.. i am using a shake diet called " Slimmm " I am so happy it is working for me.. I cant wait till i see the new slim me , confident me 8)

anyway enough rambling on hahha...

Wishing you all the best on your weight loss/ maintainance journey..

Great going Emma. Have you thought about setting yoursel little mini goals? Once you reach 5kgs less treat yourself in some way....a massage, a pedicure, lunch out to your fav place with girlfriend,, a new dress? Mini goals i think work well.

Good luck

Yes i have set mini goals. My first goal was to get to 130 kgs.. im only few kilos away from that.. Then every 10 kilos i will pamper myself some how.. When i reach 100 kils i am getting my hair coloured and styled. when i reach my goal weight of about 75 kgs i will spend money on a whole new wardrobe...
Yes setting mini goals is great...

Go girl! Keep at it.

I use to reward myself every 10kg that I lost. When you get to the sharper end of your journey you may want to reward yourself at each 5kg. You will be working a lot harder for smaller results. :) Keep going it is really worth all the effort.

Hello Blitz.. i almost weighed the same as your starting weight.. i weighed 150 kgs on dot. My goal weight is 75-70 kgs..wow whopping almost 80 kgs loss... I just have to take day by day and kg by kg. Yes i will do that reward myself every 5 kgs.. At the moment i walk between 40-60 mins on weekdays. What i want to do is when i reach maybe about 85 kgs i want to either start going to the gym or just start jogging each morning which obviously is alot cheaper. Question for you Blitz what was the weight that you started to notice weight wasnt coming off as quick? And what forms of exercise did you do in the weight loss process...? Would love to know...

It slows down gradually and takes more effort. Here are my monthly figures 1/1/11 to 24/1/12 (goal - 60 weeks exactly) : Jan 9.3kg, Feb 8.8kg, Mar 11.2kg, April 8.6kg, May 7.6kg, June 6.9kg, July 5.5kg, Aug 7.9kg, Sept 4.1kg, Oct 5.1kg, Nov 4kg, Dec 3.4kg, Jan'12 0.3kg, Feb'12 (24 days) 4.3kg. You can see how poor my Jan'12 number was, it inspired me to push harder and get a reasonable number for Feb'12; and reach the end.

In my weight diary I described the second week of October as "hitting the wall". I was very much at the end of myself then and just wanted it to be over. But I regrouped and just kept grinding it out. 8)

Looking back on it I think I would have set my goal at a higher weight. The charts had 66.7kg weight as above the mid-range for me. The charts unfortunately are for normal person's weights. When you lose 87kg you are left with a huge amount of loose skin which has weight. Towards the end I was bothered by the question of how much loose skin weighs. Never found the answer. Last June I had my hernia fixed. When they did that, they also removed some of the loose skin from my stomach. The surgeon thinks it was about 2-3kg. Still have much loose skin around my body. In the end I stayed at my original goal figuring even if the skin weighed about 5-6kgs I would still be just around the lower end of healthy weight. Today I maintain my weight around 67-70kg. If I had done that then, I could have reached goal a month earlier! I feel comfortable at this range...70kg is the line in the sand...never above it again! :D

My main forms of exercise are walking (now jogging - very slowly moving from one to the other), the exercise bike and swimming. I would mix it up and vary the intensity according to my ability at the time. My guiding principles were: 1. Listen to my body and 2. Do no harm. I would always push myself harder (trying to go further or faster) but never break myself. You can't do much good if you hurt yourself. When I started I was very asthmatic, had back pains and a hernia the size of my fist. The hernia was my prime concern. So most of my exercise was leg based. The swimming was very good and helped with the asthma and making my back stronger.

Kim

Eat right, do the shakes and exercise.. I am a bit discouraged to why i have put on weight. Not good. I do hope next weigh in ( next sunday ) I have lost some weight...
