Good morning troopers :)
This weigh in I have lost 1.1 kilos ..... I am so happy with that result. So now I'm weighing 132.7 kgs. My goal 120 kgs by end of May. That's just about a kilo a week. Which is very doable...... My first mini goal is 125 kgs by mid April or around about there..I'm gonna fight this battle with the bulge...
Peace !! :D

At the weight you are now that is achievable goal...so long as you work like a dog!

I was looking back on my part of the journey when I was your weight. It was a real purple patch for me at that time. things were really coming together for me. Some of my best weekly weigh ins were happening then (2nd and equal 3rd best). My worst week was 1.3kg, which is still a good effort. It took me 38 days to get there (but I'm a guy so it will take you longer...and don't forget I was too much in a hurry).

Having said that I never succeeded to do a "Biggest Loser" style number. I always wanted to get a 5 kilo loss for the week but the best I could managed was 3.4kg and that was in my first week! Lack of knowledge was my big down fall...armed with what I know now - it would have been a different story...but then again it wouldn't be my story. I didn't have the Forum back then...but you do!...use the knowledge here to help you have great success! 8)

Great weigh in result...now do that just a bit over eleven and a half times - and you are there! :D

Since last Saturdays weigh in ( 5 days ago ) I have lost 600 grams.. Today is Wednesday my mid week weigh in record. I weigh 132.1 kgs today I have been really sick since last Thursday with the flu which has prevented me from exercising but during this time I have been very strict with my food intake. End of this month ( March ) i want to be no more than 130 kilos.. That gives me 18 days to lose just on 2 kilos.. I'm so excited about this journey I really do believe I can get to my ideal weight of 70 kilos which would make me a size 10-12. Now at the moment I'm a size 22 good fit. It seems that every 10 kilos i lose is a size down almost. So I have 62 kilos to lose and 6-7 dress sizes to lose.. I am motivated ... Oh by the way if your reading this you're probably wanting encouragement to keep going on your journey well I have a great tip !! Keep a daily diary of your food intake , your exercise and most of all your feelings and emotions for that day... Spend 5/10 minutes before bed writing to yourself these things. I do it and it has been a life saver you could say.. Write your good and bad feelings air out what's on your mind in this diary . It truly helps if you stick to it...
I wish you all the best on your decision to change your life

Peace !!

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! :D :D :D

Doing it all the right way! The journal, changing food intake because of less exercise, realistic mini goals, capturing your future vision with a visual (seeing it in dress size), being accountable here, seeing the glass (journey) as half full and not half empty...and so many other reasons! 8)

You are a winner Em! See it to the end! :D

Your biggest fan

Good morning ladies and gents :)
For some reason i put on 600 grams it's a bit disappointing but I won't be discouraged. I know I ate right this week it's probably because i only exercised once due to be sick with the flu. Well things back to normal now. Start walking again. Wednesday formal weigh in I want to be as close to 132 as possible ..
So today's weigh in was :: 132.7 kgs
First mini goal :: 125 kgs hopefully by end of April

Don't be discouraged by a small gain, it happens.. you have been going well and can still make your end of April target, good luck!

Weight loss is a two punch game with the mind controlling the action. Eating right will keep your weight gain in check but it is the exercise that sweats away the fat. when people ask me how I lost the weight I answer..."one sweat drop at a time!".

When I was losing weight I found having the flu and the like darn inconvenient (specially with my asthma)...it may have slowed me down exercise-wise but it didn't stop me totally. I remember some fun exercise bikes/walks/runs/swims that had me hacking away with a cough that a very heavy smoker would have been proud of. Not moving is not an option for those who want to lose weight.

Work very hard and give it your very best for Wednesday's weigh in. :D

Don't get discouraged...get mad and make up the ground instead.

Keep going you're doing great. Can't help the occasional gain week, it's the overall trend that matters.

Grrr and no idea why.....
Since last Wednesday I put on 700 grams. Only explanation is it's either muscle or fluid retention. I ate perfect and exercised...I should really keep a track of measurements around my waist line for weeks like this ... Starting today I'm going to do just that... Im waiting to pay off a rather large bill then I'm going to join the gym ( can't afford it at the moment to join)... I'm gonna join fern wood women's gym, I can't wait . I've been wanting to join for a number of years but was never serious till now...

Joining the gym is great...but in the meantime...move - run - walk - anything! Just do the best with what you have before you and you will end up seeing the results. :D

Taking measurements is a really good thing to do. I wish I had done that. The only indication that I had was when my baths started falling off - and I could tie the draw string any tighter!

Em, 500g is good but I reckon that you have it in you to do better at this stage of the game.

Try aiming for that 1kg mark. Think it out and figure what is holding you back and then take the steps to put it into your life.

I know that I'm pushy...but it comes from the fact that I have great belief in you. I know that your potential is so much greater than you can imagine currently and I want you to discover it quickly so that you can have the life that you deserve! :D

Good progress so far...now press further and dream big!

Sometimes it's that time of the month too, or fluid retention as you said. Exercise is great, and walking is still one of the best if you can manage. I too would like to join a gym, but can't afford it right now while my family is on one wage and overseas holiday coming up - but a walk 1-2 times per day does the trick just around the local area. It's a bit discouraging when you realise it doesn't burn all that many cal's but I see it as more a health thing - I KNOW I feel sooo much better on days I walk then when I don't.
