You're both neck and neck, racing to the 90kg mark! My money is on Simon to get there first though...with his male muscle advantage. I know it's unfair Rach but I know that you can handle it. :D

Don't let Christmas distract you though. I want to see this race through to the end without either jockey falling off.

Good work Simon. Keep it up and put in the work.

I have decided to change my weekly weigh in to Friday's, it suits my schedule a little better, anyway, weighed in at 94.9Kgs this morning...woo hoo...have broken through the 95kg barrier :D . I have my nieces wedding on Sunday so I will be trying hard not to creep back over that mark. So...a 1.7Kg loss since last Friday...I can live with that.

Hope everyone else is going well and having a great day!

So...I was really worried about stepping on the scales this week, I had my Nieces weeding last weekend which basically lasted for 3 days, I think I wasn't too bad with what I ate but I definitely didnt worry about what I was drinking too much  Had a few nice compliments at the wedding too!

Anyway...weighed in at 93.9kgs this morning ...I was rapt, still managed to lose a kilo. I kept up the exercise which probably offset the extra calories I was consuming. I am hoping to be 92kgs by Xmas, I am going on holidays for a few weeks and I know that I will probably gain a little but I will reassess my goal when I get back...probably start looking at 87kgs.

Hope everyone else is having a great day.

Not a bad result considering the 3 day wedding fest. You seemed to have managed it well enough. That's the trouble with this weight loss thing...real life stuff gets in the way!

Good work Simon. :D

I was a little disappointed this morning...weighed in at 93.2Kgs, a loss of 0.7Kgs, my first loss of under 1Kg in a week since I started this journey. I then thought that maybe I should look at the bigger picture, I have lost 14Kgs in around 9 weeks so looking at the averages I am doing pretty well. I didn't change much this week, but that might be the problem, maybe I need to change things up a bit. That goal of 90Kgs by Christmas is looking a lttle hard right...but hey...I will persevere.

Onward and upward...or should that be downward

A loss is a loss is a loss...

29/10/12 - 101.7Kgs

19/11/12 - 96.0Kgs
23/11/12 - 94.9Kgs
30/11/12 - 93.9Kgs :D
07/12/12 - 93.2Kgs :(

You are doing very well but you can't expect great losses every week. The truth of the matter is that as you get closer and closer to your goal the returns get less and less.

You are right to look at the big picture. 14kg in 9 weeks is a very good achievement which you should be proud of. I checked my figures and you beat my weight/rate of the same amount by half a week and that was when I had figured out what I needed to do.

You have to expect plateau times in your weight loss. They are very frustrating but they are just part of the process. Your body will hang at a weight for a while so it can catch up with the changes. The good news is that once it catches up its race on again and the numbers will fall quickly.

Mini goals are like carrots. It is good to set them just a bit out of your reach. So what if you don't reach 90kg by Christmas? Just think that if you had set the bar lower you may not have achieved what you ended up achieving. Then again, just maybe, just maybe...you may achieve it!

Go for goal Simon! Reach out for it!

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I snuck a peek at the scales this morning...lets just say that I am happier today than I was last Friday. That 90kg goal by Xmas is going to be close....I know I can do it!

I jumped on the scales again this morning just to see if yesterdays weight check was real or not....91.7Kgs  Last Fridays official weigh in was 93.2Kgs...not sure what is going on, maybe it was water retention, maybe it was my body catching up with my efforts...not really sure but I will happily take it :D I am not recording the weight as "official" because official weigh in is not until Friday. On another note, my wife and daughter have asked me to stop losing weight, they say that I am looking great now and that if I get thinner I will look sick, I don't accept that, I told them that they are used to looking at the old me and it will take a little while for them to adjust. My wife is loving the new me...lets just say that the weight loss has had some positive side effects in the bedroom

I am really on the push to hit that 90kg goal by Xmas, I am then going to reassess and probably push for 85Kg's. I want to see where my weight is at following the Xmas / New Year period and 2+ weeks of holidaying down the coast...I have come too far to slip up now.

So...official weigh in today 91.5Kgs...really happy with that after last weeks small loss. I am going to really push hard for the 90Kg mark by Xmas, it will have to be a really big effort as there a gazillion Xmas functions between now and then.

Hope everyone else is having a good week. :D
