You doing just great Simon. That goal is very close. Work it hard and its yours.

Didn't I tell you that you'll get a good result after a plateau? If you keep at it, sooner or later your body will resurrender to all your hard work. You deserved the number...you powered through! :D

Thanks Kim, I was a little shocked at the result. Anyway, time to reassess my goal, I weighed in this morning at 90.6Kgs, I am really happy with the result, I was determined to hammer in that 90Kg goal by Xmas, I am not there yet but I am going hard for it. I have 4 weeks off over Xmas / New Year and no doubt I will put a little back on but I am determined to keep the weight off for good this time.

90.2Kg's this morning...pushing ,pushing, pushing to that 90Kg by Xmas mark...tomorrow will probably be my last "official" weigh in before Xmas, I will relax a bit over the next week but will be being very careful not to over indulge and then start pushing hard again for 87kg's after New Years.

Hi All, I'm back after 5 sensational weeks holiday with the family, I hope that you all had a fantastic Xmas and New Year. Whilst I didn't actively "diet" over the holidays I did manage to keep up the exercise and hopefully not over indulge too much. The first "official" weigh in of the New Year kick start will be on Friday...will see what is happening then.

Ok, so first "Official" Weigh in since returning from my 5 week holidays over Xmas and New Year etc....weighed in at 89.2Kgs :D Pretty happy with that, I maintained and even lost a little over that period so I have now achieved my initial goal of 90Kgs :) I have reassessed and am now pushing for 87kg's (which happens to be the same weight I was when I got married!) and will the reassess from there. I have also realized that I am now under 200lbs for the first time in a long time.

I have also had the revelation that I don't think of myself as "dieting" anymore, I have changed my lifestyle and quite frankly it is a change that I am enjoying.

15/10/12 - 107.2kgs
29/10/12 - 101.7Kgs
5/11/12 - 100.0kgs
12/11/12 - 97.7kgs
16/11/12 - 96.6Kgs (non official weigh in)
19/11/12 - 96.0Kgs
23/11/12 - 94.9Kgs
30/11/12 - 93.9Kgs :D
07/12/12 - 93.2Kgs :(
14/12/12 - 91.5Kgs
21/12/12 - 91.0Kgs
(5 week Holidays)
01/02/13 - 89.2Kgs

Good one Simon! It is about lifestyle choices not limited diets. Forever success can't be achieved with a diet because it is imposed onto your life not a part of your life. You have to own the lifestyle otherwise it simply will not last. Glad that you got that revelation because it is the key to getting your head in the right place for permanent success. :D

Great goal recognition too...finding those successes and meaning mini goals to drive you forward is the way to go.

Life is getting better isn't it? :D Good work Simon!

So weigh in day....88.6Kgs today, a loss of 0.6kgs, I figure that the weeks of 1+ Kg losses are over, but hey, a loss is a loss :D. I am now 1.4Kgs under my original goal and 1.6Kgs away from my reassessed goal. I will get there because I am determined to get there, hey, I might even push for 85Kg's...who knows? Anyway, I am feeling great and life is good.

Hope everyone else is having a great week!

Yeah these are going to be tough times but remember you have now developed a whole set of skills to help yourself win through. :D

Gee Simon I just realised your reassessed goal of 87 kilos is how much I lost! I figured from day one what my end goal was going to be and never budged. I conservatively decided just above half way on the chart's healthy normal range for my height and censored would do me (66.7kg). What I didn't take in account was the extra weight of loose skin and how that would affect "normal" calculations. Because I was so conservative in my goal however I felt I still had enough leeway to reach my original goal safely. Nowadays I have found it best for myself to sit two to three kilos heavier than my goal weight. I recently read a book where the woman kept wanting to go lower. She became addicted to achieving results. It was only through the intervention of family, her doctor and her local gym that she realised that goal HAD been achieved and it was time to stop losing weight and time to maintain instead. Find your finishing line Simon and enjoy your achievement! 8)

Oops...couple of weeks since I have been here, have had a busy and draining couple of weeks with a family member in hospital with a serious illness. Anyway, glad to say that whilst my focus and energy has been elsewhere I still haven't fallen off the wagon. Weighed in at 88.1Kgs this morning, so basically half a kilo in the last 2 weeks. I am ok with that, I knew the weight loss would slow down and I am happy with creeping to the line, just over a kilo to go to get to the second goal and I will think about 85Kgs then. I know it isn't a lot of weight to lose but it is getting harder, maybe a re-group and solid push to the line is what I need. Having said all that, I am pretty happy with where I am at. Might post some pics if I can work out how to do it! :D

5/10/12 - 107.2kgs
29/10/12 - 101.7Kgs
5/11/12 - 100.0kgs
12/11/12 - 97.7kgs
16/11/12 - 96.6Kgs (non official weigh in)
19/11/12 - 96.0Kgs
23/11/12 - 94.9Kgs
30/11/12 - 93.9Kgs :D
07/12/12 - 93.2Kgs :(
14/12/12 - 91.5Kgs
21/12/12 - 91.0Kgs
(5 week Holidays)
01/02/13 - 89.2Kgs
08/02/13 - 88.6Kgs
22/02/13 - 88.1kgs
