Pegasus, i don't think i was very explicit about the daily program there in that post.

What i've been doing is this:
exercise every day mostly just a walk but i've started zumba and i've also done two weeks of a strenuous hill walk. Most of my walks are only about 40 minutes but some are longer.

Food wise, i just eat three light meals a day. I don't do a lot of activity so i don't need a lot of food. But i would say that what i eat is enough calories and is not light on calories.

I've noticed that all dieters lose a lot of weight at the beginning. This is mostly water loss and i think it would be the same with me. Its sort of excess water because the diet that we had was most likely very high in salt. I don't think too much of that weight loss cna be fat and it is certainly not good to lose weight at that speed week after week. Its ok at the beginning but the loss should settled down and be more moderate otherwise i won't be able to keep it off.

I think when i get to about 68kg i will have to make sure i don't reduce too rapidly. I thought i should stabilise my weight for a while before reducing further.

Good sensible approach. :D How are your muscles holding out with all this new found exercise? Not too many aches I hope. :D

My muscles are doing pretty well actually. The only time I have noticed anything was two days after the hill walk which is odd. You'd think it would be the day after. It was just in my calves. Zumba didn't cause any pain.

I can't explain why i have not felt more pain because i assure you that i have done no exercise at all for quite a long time. Even less than your average office worker i would think since i don't have to run around catching trains and buses.

Weigh in day - 79.8kg this morning. Total of 3.8kg lost. I think.

I've begun noticing a slight looseness in some of my clothes. I still look gross in the mirror but i don't spend too much time doing that.

I bought some new tights for zumba on Tuesday. Boy looking in those dressing room mirrors under those lights is quite shocking.

 Too convicting eh? They use those lights deliberately you know.

Are you taken measurements of yourself? One of my great regrets is not doing that. Some weeks when nothing is shifting on the scales front I could have taken comfort knowing that the fat was deflating from my waist and being replaced with muscle.

Keep up the hard work...you are doing well.

No i can't be bothered measuring myself this time. I've done it in the past but i don't feel the need to be quite so obsessive as i have in the past. I know what works. All i have to do is keep doing it.

Today is my weigh in day. Its not good but then i didn't expect it would be. I hvaen't done much exercise this week. Once in fact is all i've done. I haven't been to the loo for days (which always happens when i eat less like this. It's partly a symptom of the meds im on as well.) So i'm going to weigh myself again tomorrow, after i've been to the loo.

Probably TMI for most people but having got off to such a great start and to now have to admit poor progress in this week is tough. Please don't offer words of encouragement.

So today is 81kg.

...But isn't this a place for support and encouragement? Don't make it harder for yourself.

WEll some times its more annoying than anything else. I don't find encouragement works for me. If i don't want to do something, i don't do it and no one is able to goad me into doing something i don't want to do. That's what i've found.

Encouragement works when there's fear invovled but if the stumbling blocks are of another kind i haven't found it works for me.

I find taking 2 glasses of metamucil orange flavour helps with going to the bathroom. I have to take iron tablets and glad i found this product well actually my doctor recommended to me.

Yeah, i used to take psyllium fibre (which is cheaper than metamucil). I probably should resume that practice. Still haven't been to the loo but today i weigh 80kg.
