Sounds like you have it all in hand.
Just a little suggestion.....its great to monitor the numbers on the scale but this is where many people have fallen. If the numbers dont move to your expectations and timeline then many just give up which is a shame. Numbers dont move for many reasons like you are now building muscle.
I would more focus on clothes and how i am feeling with the scales as an occasional back up.
Anyway all the best.

Yeah my timeline was always too ambitious. It turned out I was only out by 5 months from my original time finishing goal! We all want it done yesterday!

You've had some good numbers...give your body time to catch up! Each plateau is the flat part of the steps that go downwards. Without them is one almighty fall with a crash at the end! :shock:If you food intake is right and your exercise good then in the long term your body will give it up. The muscle and re-organisation your body is doing during this lull WILL pay off down the track big time. :D

Well Hubby has left and I'm due on tomorrow. I didn't weigh in last week (through the madness) and was really worried about it today. After nearly two weeks of being SO BAD... I've still been going to gym 'to lessen' the blow...

So............ the scale is up 2.5kgs.... :o Which.. I'm surprised at, as I really thought I would be seeing double. So... boo to the gain.. but yaay to it not being too bad.

So... back on track... and I want to loose 5kgs in the next month, to get under the 100's.

Here goes.

You've got to find ways to reduce this blow out period. This is where you are going to find the challenge in your weight loss journey.

Here is something to think about; weight gains during weight loss cost lots more than we realise. By that I mean if you have gained 2.5kg, you have to expend 5kg worth of energy losing effort just to get the same number you were. This is what I call "slippage". I would have lost far more quickly if I had been more careful about slipping back. Re-losing what is already lost isn't very smart. Instead of having to re-lose 2.5kg you could have used that effort in losing another 2.5kg. In the second half of my journey I spent a lot of time keeping these slippages down. I would do anything to keep it to a zero rather than a gain (of course a loss was the best outcome). Going backwards saps your motivation, discourages you and makes you work harder and longer for the same results.

You've got some time before the next attack - make your plans now!
I'm sure you will win through...think smart and that healthy lifestyle and better future is yours! :D

Week Six - 103.6kgs (lost 1.2kgs)

So.. even though I'm on the move down again... I am cross that the past two weeks are pretty much a loss, gain and loss.. to get back to the same place. What a waste of time. I just keep thinking where I would be now if I hadn't of relaxed when hubby was home.

Oh well.... two solid weeks before he is home and I WILL BE UNDER 100 ... I WILL ... I WILL ... I WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING... WILL EVER MAKE ME GO INTO THE 100'S AGAIN ... EVER!!!!

That's the thing about 'slippage' - it is the frustratation of going backwards and retreading the same ground...knowing how much further along you could have been. Use this experience to motivate yourself against doing it again. Stick it in your head in big letters "IT IS FAR EASIER TO LOSE IT ONCE THAN IT IS TO LOSE IT TWICE".

You are doing good...learning the lessons and getting your head in the right place. :D

I think crossing the 100 mark is a particularly interesting psychological thing. Somehow being 99.9 is so much better then 100.1!!!
I also think I'll be doing the same as I come closer to breaking every decade! But hey, if that's what motivates us, so be it!

Have a great week and try your best :)

Week eight... 102.2 - had a bad Sat/Sun.. and ended up with this!!!!

Pisses me off that it takes such hard work to go down and one or two days of being off plan to shoot up. Hubby gets home in two sleeps.. so I'm screwed.. Part of me wonders why I bother :o(

Come on wohbles, it is all part of the journey.
You bother because you know you need to! Many people chuck it in when a hic up happens, don't get down on yourself, it is all mind over matter - you are stronger than that.
Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get on with it.....you are nearly there under the 100 mark, don't do anything silly - just get on with it.

Don't use the number to beat yourself up...use it as a spur for today and your tomorrows.

0.4kg gain? Well in the time between now and your husband coming home you can lose that (and more) with a bit of application and dedication. Wacking yourself over the head isn't going to help matters. Learn the lessons, grow from the experience and become stronger. 8)

All is not lost. Rebound - and win through! :D

You only lose out when you stop trying - until then - you ARE a winner!

That's exactly what it takes...good for you! When you are faced with a "poor" result - that's where the winners take up the challenge. Go for it! :D
