HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! *throws confetti*

You'll be fine, B. Just remember to eat slowly, try not to get caught up in conversation and be munching away unknowingly. Instead, put that knife and fork down while you chew and chat and let the food start to settle. You will find you're more satisfied without cleaning your whole plate and if there are left overs, ask to take them home with you or accept you didn't eat it all and you paid for a good meal and a good meal you had ;)

A little bit of cake on your birthday is never a bad thing! :D That's good that you've portioned out your slice so you know exactly what's going into your body for the day. As you said, if you keep working hard over the weekend, one meal should not blow it. If anything you may find that one big meal will make your body go "Huh!?"

That's what you do for plateaus, is change up the eating and exercise so it may make a difference. Just don't stress over it too much, I find if I stress about it, my body goes to what I like to call "battle stations" in which is protects itself from any and all harm, including weight loss [/quote]

thanks shell,

the meal was HUGE and was very proud of myself only ate 1/2 of it and did not feel one iota of guilt (wasting money, etc etc) nope enjoyed every mouthful put my fork down in between and actually enjoyed my food - it was lovely. I won a meal voucher and a meat tray as well - woohoo happiness allround.

oh the big news of the evening, drum roll......... I put my favourite pair of jeans on and they are way too big, I couldn't bloomin believe it - they are my never let me downs (even when I am heavy I still manage to s-q-u-e-e-z-e in, can't wear them for long but I still get them on) its fantastic - well this time I am giving them away, not keeping them in the back of the cupboard cause I'm never going to fit into them again!!!! it will be sad but it has to be done - ahhhh that will be my reward for getting down to goal - a new pair of jeans!!!!!! woohoo bring it on baby..... :D 8)

It's amazing how bad that food like KFC makes you feel now doesn't it. I've been eating a lot healthier for a few months now and seriously trying to lose weight for only about a month, but my body can't tolerate that fatty food anymore. I don't even crave it anymore which is a good thing. Don't let the blowouts put you off, they just make you more determined to reach your goal I reckon.

At least it's a loss! These are the hard weeks, when you have tried hard and not a huge loss. I just remember that however slow my progress there is still progress and even if I don't lose for the week I benefit from a much healthier lifestyle! Next week will be a good loss for you, it better be or I'll be kicking your butt!

gain of 400gm

lets see hhmmmm Orange Juice even though it states "no sugar" that does not mean you can have a glass (and sometimes two) a day  still not good for you, and lately I have acquired the taste for soda water and diet lime cordial but I drink it instead of water & lots of it -got to STOP!!!!! hence the reflection in the scales - thank god I have been doing the walking and resistance otherwise it could have been a lot worse. I got the ole tractor tyre out yesterday and seen how many times I could flip it in a minute - my god!!! you forget how much they bloomin well weigh & its hard flippin it but I did 8 in a minute so I have set a goal now got to get to 10 by this time next week (either that or be in hospital ha ha ha).

off for a walk, have a great day everyone

Keep at it...you can do it! :D

That sense of humour will keep you going when everything else fails...good work.

Now keep the pressure on...at this stage of the game it is about upping the ante and watching sloppy habits. Your goaling yourself in increasing the tyre flips is just the right idea! Excellent - remember...what doesn't kill you - makes you stronger! 8)
