Matt76 weigh in

Postby Matt76 » Sun Jan 12, 2014 7:37 pm

On the scales tonight I am 84kg, not a massive problem except it all seems to be on my gut. I went for a nice 5km walk this arvo as a warm up to hopefully finding the time to do it most afternoons.

I wan to get down to 75kg but more importantly get into the habit of regular exercise and healthy eating. I have cleaned my diet up a hell of a lot from what it used to be but the gut is not budging so more drastic measures are called for!

Anyway I'll check in every week to make myself accountable and to keep track of my progress.

Good for you Matt...the trick is to keep at it.....we all get gunho in the beginning and then we are distracted and our commitment just wains.....look forward to your next post...if you can share what changes you have made that might help others.

Have a great week.

Thanks! This week is going ok, had a birthday on Monday so had a little blowout there but was pretty well behaved. Had big cravings for chocolate today but behaved, the vending machine at work was calling me!!!! thats the first craving for junk food I've had in the last 2 weeks so hopefully it won't be too frequent! I've actually been really enjoying a nice clean diet. Still big hours at work so haven't been out exercising in the afternoons like I would have liked but as long as I still make steady progress I'll stay happy.

have the chocolate I say, you can't deny yourself your luxuries and go for the best there is - believe me if you don't you will eat every other thing in sight plus the original chocolate you were looking at in the first instance - shhhhh don't tell anyone but I enjoyed every mouthful of a 38g lindt chocolate bar yesterday, it was s-c-r-u-m-p-t-I-o-u-s!!!!!! yeah I hear you on the exercise front, I live 5min walk from the beach and haven't been down there much this week due to work, family etc etc as well, must make that change.

great to hear you are enjoying the clean diet though and you are still progressing along nicely, just watch out for that nasty "plateau" believe me he will come and bite you hard that's when we need to dig our heels in and keep pushing hard.

have a great day

80.4 yesterday! I am so keen to see a number starting with 7 again!

No exercise this week as have still been doing long hours at work, but three day weekend will see some calories burnt for next weeks weigh in!

Congrats, Matt!

Sorry I haven't checked in with your journey until now. You must be super stoked to be on the cusp of the 70's again, congrats! Keep up the awesome work and you will be there in no time!

Thanks Shelley.

I did parkrun this morning with my son, nearly killed me but it was good exercise! The chance of a 70 something on the scales next time is huge motivation!

79.9 this morning!!!!!

Made it by the skin of my teeth! 75kg seems much easier to assume when I am not in the 80's.
