Tash (Faith189) Weighs In...

Postby faith189 » Mon Feb 17, 2014 4:53 pm

I am new here and have been reading through a lot of your weigh in journals and have been inspired by your stories! I have felt all of your successes and setbacks with you & now think it is a great idea to record my own journey so I can keep myself motivated with it too!

I weighed myself on 6th Feb @ 108kgs
The following week I was 105.5kgs so a loss of 2.5!

Haven't really set any definitive goal timelines as yet, I am getting married on 19 September 2015 and want to knock my fiances socks off! But need to think of my minigoals to get me to that point!

My weigh in days will be Thursdays.....am very grateful for a place that allows me to share this journey!

Cheers Tash :D

Thanks very much JP1, yes I wanted to start as early as I possibly could to give myself a chance at doing it properly! Plus new year as well so what better time to make a change! haha! :D

Thanks for the tip with regards to the challenges, I will keep an eye out for the next one!!

OK so today was weigh in day.....

LW 105.5
TW 105

So a loss of 500g have to admit I was a bit worried about this one, as have had a busy week and haven't had the chance to exercise as much as I would have liked and also had two dinners out one for Valentines and one to celebrate my Uni graduation, I tried to make the best choices as possible but was still a little scared!!
So all in all happy its a loss and not a gain!!! :)

Done really well with my water intake this week, drank over a litre everyday which is a huge feat for me....I don't like water at all, even when I was a baby I wouldn't drink it so have been blocking the nose and forcing it down haha!

Im also a bit skeptical about my scales.....seems they like giving different answers everytime you get on them!! So after I discovered that I waited until I got the same answer 3 times...so not too sure how accurate my first results/SW were! :?:

Cheers!

A good start Tash. :D

You will usually find that a good weigh in week is followed by the next not being as great. But don't let that throw you - your body needs time to process the changes you are putting it through. Learn about your body and study how it reacts to what you do and don't do and you will get a handle on this weight loss thing.

Good work so far...keep at it! :D :D :D

Thanks Kim for your support :D ...yes I will get there with it! It all takes time I guess!!

So didn't get to weigh in last week...I did my neck in and wasn't able to move for a few days, it was terrible!!!
Anyway 90% back to normal now, few more physio & chiro appts and will be back to firing on all cylinders!!

Weighed in this morning
TW 104.1
LW 105

So a loss of 900g for the fortnight inching closer to double figures.....will be hitting the treadmill hard this week to hopefully make a dent in it for next weigh in!

Hope everyone has had a good fortnight with some good personal results!!

All the best
Cheers

Thanks Kim!

I'm being honest and accountable with myself and knowing if I reach for that chocolate or whatever it is that I feel I need, Im only cheating myself and if you really want it you have to trade it off big time on the treadmill which makes it seem much less appealing for some reason!! haha!
Which is a big thing for me and I also accept that there is no quick fix and it has to be something that is committed to everyday.

So just taking on these two things is a big thing for me and help me realise that I mean it, want it and can have it if I keep this focus!!

Its also so great to have this place as a sounding board with people who have been there/are currently there and understand where you are at and how you are feeling....so thank you all for that! :D

Cheers Tash

Weigh in day

TW 104.2
LW 104.1

Gain of 100g......really dissappointed in this result!
Don't know what happened, food was in control this week and it was definitely my best week of exercise yet... :(

Anyway I can't change it so will have to just consolidate go over everything and try harder for next week.

Heres to keeping chipping away at it!

Please don't be put off by a small gain. All sorts of factors affect our bodily functions which in turn affect that number. You know what you have done this week. Your body will catch up. It will realise you mean business when you remain consistent and focused on the long term view!

Something I found useful was plotting my weight in an excel spreadsheet. In the newer versions you can plot a trend line. You will notice that even with these little bumps along the way you will find that the trend is down. And down is the right direction!

You're doing really well! :)

What happened? Well I think the clue was in your post...

"definitely my best week of exercise yet"

You probably made heaps of muscle. Don't worry about it.
Muscle is "the stuff dreams are made of" for someone who is losing weight.
You will find that this will pay back in weight loss big time down the track! 8)

keep at it Tash - you are doing it good.
