Well I started off very slowly because i had not exercised in a very very long time.
walking for 20 mins a day, was my first form of exercise and also the walk away the pounds DVD I started off with the 1 mile and graduated to 3 mile slowly.
I worked up to walking 1 hr a day slowly over a few months .Then when I felt stronger I decided to join a fitness centre curves for women only check out the link for some idea of it. I love it and the people who run my curves in Bentleigh are fantastic. http://www.curves.com
I also started swimming back at the beginning of Nov. Very slowly at first I'd walk 1/2 a lap and then do side stroke or breast stroke. over the last 2 months I have become able to swim freestyle for an hour and do about 34 laps of a 25 metre pool over 1 hr. I'm still slow, but Rome wasnt built in a day I guess
On the weekends I still walk an hour if I havent made it to curves or the pool due to work..
I cant believe I love exercise so much now, I could never have imagined myself doing 3 days of curves and 2 to 3 days swiming a week plus 1 to 2 days walking for an hour in a week If my life depended on it 12 months ago. But I guess my life does depend on it so that was my motivation..
I'm also about to purchase a cross trainer for those days when its raining or I cant be bothered leaving the house. Also to give my body a bit of a shake up so it doesnt get to used to the same kind of exercise.
hope I havent prattled on to much, but answered your question
