have just had a week away in melbourne-tried very hard to not overeat and eat the right things-made a few slip ups but i dont think it was 1.4 kg of slip ups!!!!!! oh well we had a great time-we did walk for miles and miles everyday so i thought that would balance out the few wines and extra calories-my weight loss is not going too good yet-better try a new strategy! at this stage amputation sounds good!

If you've been walking a lot maybe you gained some extra muscle in your lower body...? They're the largest muscle groups so when they start to get stronger you might gain some mass but not fat.

thanks dietcoke-i am hoping that is what it is! i have been going to the gym for 1 hr a day for the past 6 weeks since i started my health/weight loss kick and working both the upper and lower body-i was very unfit when i started and i think you may be right about the muscle tone but it doesnt look good on the scales-this has not detered me however-im off to the gym this arvo to see the trainer who initialy signed me up as he is doing a follow up measurment/weight thingo-ill let you know how i go!
and kate-yes it was a gain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
have decided to stick to the way i am eating at the moment but cut down my portion sizes.
keeping fingers crossed for next week

hi all,
just been to see my trainer at the gym and he is realy happy about the way i am going-have lost cm's all over althought the scales only show 3kg weight loss in the last 6 weeks. my goal is to just stick at what im doing as i feel great and maybe just cut down my portions.
