Hello

Postby Siana-leah » Thu Jan 26, 2006 9:41 pm

Hello everybody
I just registered but ive been looking at this website for a few months now.
Im Siana and im 21. Im married and have a 1 year old boy.
Ive been eating properly for the last 4 days now, for which I am VERY happy! :D
Ive been up and down in my weight for years now (chocolate is my major downfall).
I'm trying a different approach. I want to lose 33kgs so i gave myself 33 weeks to do it and ive posted a calendar I made myself on the fridge.
I think my problem is that I want the weight to drop off all in one day!! (NB: as of yet that miracle has not occured, I'll let you know if it does)

Thanks for reading.
Here I go (ive lost 1kg already these past 4 days, yay! :D )

Hi Siana, gosh what a beautiful name.
welcome to the forum. I know what you mean about wanting to lose the weight on a daily basis.
1kg per fortnight is probably a bit more reachable.

Hello again.
Thank you for your replies.
I know i need encouragement.

Ive watched and read so much on weight loss as you probably have too. I love reading success stories.

My recent revelation is that a diet doesnt lose the weight for you (when I was younger I actually thought that if i go on a diet everything will be ok), its all in your head. If you dont decide to do it, it wont happen.
So ive been asking myself do i really want to lose weight?, YES!
Then do something about it!!!

I think I talk too much.
Anyway. Ive been walking for an hour every other morning and doing a bit of stomach, leg and arm work with my husband in the evening. My stomach muscles hurt but it is the beginning. No pain no gain.
Ill go now before i write a book.
ciao.
Siana (Thanks again)
Siana

Welcome Siana,

You've landed in the right place to lose that weight. Sounds like you've got a great exercise plan in action.

How great would it be if we could lose weight as quickly as we can put it on!

I find breaking up my main goal (losing 20kg) into little bitty goals helps me stay motivated, it's less daunting. I'm going to reward myself with a new CD or something when I reach my mini goals as an incentive to reach that next one - love my music.

Congrats on your weightloss so far and good luck on reaching your goal,
catch you in the forum,
Angel

I agree totally Siana.

I have been doing diets and stuff like that to lose weight but i never got my head into it and i'd give up after a while. But this time i am not telling myself i 'cant' have things and working my way into losing weight slowly so i am learning to enjoy it. Now i think healthy in my head and it has changed my whole outlook on losing weight.

Welcome Siana! Hope the weight loss forum gives you the encourgment, support and motivation you need to lose those extra kilo's. I believe that a good (healthy) diet and a moderate exercise program is the key to a healthy lifestyle....its worked for me so far :)

Im 21 and my little girl's name is Hayley. My h2B is also quite encouraging although he is one of these slim, strong, built types, who can eat just about anything he wants! :x

Ah well, i wish you luck in your weightloss ventures!
