Hello to all

Postby donnadeadly » Tue Oct 30, 2007 2:32 pm

Hi, my name is donna and this is my second time at loosing weight. The first time I lost 25 kg and over the last 2 years have put a majority of that back on. So I am back to doing what works for me and one of those things is talking with people and sharing your path. I find that stimulation around weightlose talk helps me stay focused and on track and helps you build your confidence when you support and are supported by other people. So Hello and please say hello
On the road to losing weight for the second time, hoping for 20kg off for Christmas and to make it a life change this time.

It is nice to know I am not the alone in falling back into bad habits. How do you get that little weight indicator tracker to start up

Try the "help" section for getting a ticker, or click on someone's ticker to get taken to the site to make one :)

I've been on this site forever Donna! I've had a long journey - always been overweight, getting up to around 140kg when I was 20.. lost about 30kg to be around 110kg since the start of 2005, I've maintained that mostly since then, but in the last 6 months have put back on 10kg :x So am well and truly back on the weight loss wagon and am going to get all these remaining kgs off for sure!

Hope you enjoy the site, I've found it really helpful and supportive, and I'm sure you will too :)

Hi Donna and welcome to the forum! The good thing is at least you know you can do it!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

Maddie that is fantastic to lose 30, and at least you did not put it most of it back on and then look to do something about it.

I suppose that it does help knowing that we have been on this road before and at least yours was a mond rather than a mountain. I have heard a number of women tell me in life that when you loose weight you tend to put it back on and sometimes add to it. Well I think that is possible but I think the more you admit the problem and look towards getting back into good practices and then following it through the less chance you have of staying stuck in the mud. So I totally agree with Butterfly dawn. And i think that is what this website is so great for because at least you know what to look out for even if you are doing this the first time.

And thanks girls for two bits of praise that help me to remember what is important. Ohhh used the tracker trick but couldn't find out how to display but put in progress post and asked there and was given the answer... so thankyou

Hello Donna!

You definitely aren't alone in the falling back into bad habits. I have been up and down for the last 2 years. I broke my foot 2 years ago and put weight on cause I couldn't exercise. I managed to loose all the weight once I was back to full health but then about a year later I broke my other foot! I again put the weight on.

I managed to loose most of it by June this year which was wghen I got married but since the wedding I have been lazy and piled the kg's back on!

It's so depressing how quickly it can come back but it takes so long to loose it!

I'm sure you will go super this time round. You can do it! :)
