I just signed up

Postby iwilldoit! » Tue Nov 13, 2007 12:17 am

Well, I just signed up, so saying hello and giving my story. I'm a 35 y.o. male. I reached my peek of 77kg early this year. I went on my first weight lose effort and lost a little, but about a month in to I was just too hungry and "fell of the wagon" and just put it out of my mind!

Well a few weeks ago I decided to give it another crack. This time I want to structure my diet just enough to avoid the hunger pains, but still loose weight (of course!). This time around I started on 15th Oct at 75kg, 4 weeks later I'm down to 74kg. I'm aiming at 0.5kg a week, but I just happy to be heading in the right direction. Having said that I can't make excusses to myself and must remember to strive to loose 0.5kg a week, so please anyone who can help me, please let me know! I will do my best to do the same, as I work out this weigt loss thing!

Hi and welcome! Just wondering how tall you are because your goal weight it quite low, but if your about the same height as my hubby then it would be about right.

Hi there!

Well done on your loss so far. 0.5kg per week is very reasonable. Keep up the great work!

I'm 173cm. The reason I chose 65kg is that it's right in the middle of the "normal" BMI range. It does sound low to me, and of course I will adjust that target if it becomes apparent it is too low!

Obviously I don't know your circumstances or desires but maybe do a bit more research before you embark on losing weight mate, it maybe you just want to build your body up a bit. I'm 175cm (5'9" and 75 Kgs was a good weight for me in my younger days ;_)

http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=3768961

Heres a link I found its on a bodybuilders forum but this particular link is more to do with losing body fat and has some real useful info, particularly note this comment >>

Q: I'm 5'11" and 140 pounds, and I can't get rid of this gut. Help!

A. Eating healthy, eating more, and lifting weights will correct your problem. You do not want to lose weight, you want to gain it. If you continue eating a reduced calorie diet your belly will never go away.

Hope this is of help.
