Hello and a big welcome to you!

Pop into Personal Progress/Almost There etc and have a look at what people are doing and then start one for yourself. It is a great way to track everything that you are doing - food wise and exercise wise. There are many people on this forum doing meal replacements - so go and have a look in the Diet Talk section.

Hopefully people will respond to your post and give you the information you need.

I am doing Kate Morgan (meal replacement) and am thoroughly enjoying it.

Hi there :)

Welcome aboard!

We're all doing different things to lose weight, but the best way is to look at it as a healthy lifestyle change - NOT a diet. You need to make small, sustainable changes - for example, swap your Maccas for Subway, swap your ice cream for low fat frozen yoghurt, swap your lollies for strawberries!

You also need to get some regular exercise - start slow, but build up to at least 30 minutes per day on most days.

Sorry I forgot to answer your question. I am counting calories, exercsing and drinking 8 glasses of water a day......Here's a rough guide for calorie intake for can eat more.......


Need to lose less than 6kgs
1,250 calories (35grams of fat)

Need to lose 6 -20 kgs
1,500 calories (42g of fat)

Need to lose more than 20kg
1,750 calories (49g of fat)

I like calorie counting cause it's free and I got the number of calories in foods from the web for free. KJs are written on packets sometimes instead of calories, to work out the calories divide by 4.19

I do believe different things work for different people, so I hope you find an approach that works for you! :D

35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
