Healthy food doesn't have to be bland food!! That is definitely one thing I've learnt since being on my weightloss journey. There are heaps of recipes out there that are very low on calories but still taste fantastic.
There are low-fat recipes for carbonara, lasagne, satay, moussaka and the list goes on.
I think there is a recipe section here on the forum, if not, drop me a pm with your email address, I have a word document full of heaps of delicious, low-fat recipes. I bet if you cook one for your hubby one night, he won't even know it's low-fat and good for you!!
Plus think of the health benefits he'll be receiving too by eating healthier with you.
