Hi everyone I am new to this wonderful site. I am trying to lose weight after having three beautiful children. My starting weight is 97kgs. I am only wanting to set mini goals at this point in time. I would be pleased to lose 1 kilo a week.

Hi Dani, welcome to the forum. Mini goals are a great idea to set for yourself. If you exercise lots 1 kilogram per week is quite reachable but if you only exercise moderately ½ a kilo would be the average loss per week.

Welcome dani . I to set small goals . i make it 5 kgs to lose in 6 weeks . Hope to see u around the boards

Welcome Dani,
I always say, slow and steady wins the race. I usually aim to lose an average of 1/2 a kg a week (anything above that is a bonus). I find this allows for weeks that things don't go to plan.

It's also a great motivational tool to reward yourself when you reach a mini goal, a new CD, a manicure, a new top etc. I find this works a treat.

I agree that small goals are great to make as you experience success quicker and keeps you motivated.
