So much to lose

Postby biggirl1964 » Tue Apr 15, 2008 10:23 am

I am new and wanted to say hello. I am joining to so that I can be motivated by others in the persuit of weight loss. I am battling a severe obesity problem and fear that it may be the end of the road if I don't manage to change things now. I have tried numerous other ways to shed the pounds, but nothing so far has been sustained. I hope that this forum will be just part of my new directions in my life and I hope to be able to share other's stories.
I am married with five children and am currently at home from work for 5 weeks due to my not being able to cope with my physical issues that have also impacted on my mental health issue as well. I have depression and at the moment am not receiving treatment for it. Anyway hope to meet lots of lovely people here, hope to be able to support others as well.

Hi and welcome! :D

The great thing about this forum is not only are most people supportive and encouraging, but there is usually someone else out there that has experienced something similar or can really relate in some way to how you feel. So ask any questions you like, jump in wherever you feel comfortable, start a progress page to track your weightloss and feelings along the way if you want to. And sometimes even supporting others and sharing their success' can help too! :D

Good luck with your goals!
Highest Weight - 93kgs
Current Weight - 68.3kgs
Goal Weight - 65kgs

There are heaps of supportive people here ! The main thing I found, is that it doesnt matter how much we have to lose, we're all here for the same purpose :)

Welcome to the forum! Feel free to jump on in - I found this forum invaluable and I hope you do too!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
